Recycling information is associated with objects through the use of molecular tags. The recycling information may describe the type of material that the object is made from as well as provide instructions for recycling. The molecular tags may be polynucleotides or other types of molecules including inorganic molecules. The molecular tags may be embedded within the object or attached to the surface of the object. At the end of the object's life, the molecular tags are read and the recycling information is used to appropriately recycle the object.

A pneumatic vehicle tire which includes a sealant layer at least on the inner surface opposite the tread. The sealant layer has a radially inward-facing surface running in the axial direction substantially parallel to the belt package. Also provided is a process for detecting a pneumatic vehicle tire with a sealant layer and to a process for recycling a pneumatic vehicle tire with sealant. The sealant layer has at least one luminescent agent on its radially inward-facing surface. The tire is detected via the luminescent agent.

A method of recycling used tires that includes: a collection step (S1) of collecting used tires; a data acquisition step (S2) of acquiring used tire data regarding at least one of specifications or components of the used tires, based on information read from the used tires; a classification step (S3) of classifying the used tires; and a recycling processing step (S4) of carrying out recycling processing of the used tires that have been classified, under appropriate conditions for each of the groups.
