CHEMICAL RECYCLING OF SOLVOLYSIS COPRODUCT STREAMS
Chemical recycling facilities for processing mixed waste plastic are provided herein. Such facilities have the capability of processing mixed plastic waste streams and utilize a variety of recycling facilities, such as, for example, solvolysis facility, a pyrolysis facility, a cracker facility, a partial oxidation gasification facility, an energy recovery facility, and a solidification facility. Streams from one or more of these individual facilities may be used as feed to one or more of the other facilities, thereby maximizing recovery of valuable chemical components and minimizing unusable waste streams.
Methods and systems for the recycling of shingles
Embodiments of the present invention may provide methods and systems for recycling asphalt shingles (1) perhaps in a chemical solution (2) to provide oil free recyclable fiberglass (6), oil free recyclable sand (7), and even recyclable oil (8). The present invention may provide a screened tubular rotating equipment (16) may be at least partially immersed (18) in a tank (17) of a chemical solution (2) to treat the asphalt shingles (1).
Process for producing monovinylaromatic polymer incorporating post-consumer recycled polystyrene, monovinylaromatic polymer incorporating post-consumer recycled polystyrene and articles produced thereof
The invention relates to a process and an installation to produce a monovinylaromatic polymer (3) comprising post-consumer recycled polystyrene (PCR-PS) wherein the process comprises the steps of mixing the PCR-PS (5) and the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) within a dissolver (9) to dissolve the PCR-PS (5) in the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) so as to produce a polymerization mixture (13); and a step of filtering the polymerization mixture (13) that includes continuously redirecting at least a part of the stream of the filtered polymerization mixture (17) back to the dissolver (9) and mixing it with the polymerization mixture (13) so as to continuously reduce the content of insoluble material in the polymerization mixture (13) contained in the dissolver (9).
Method For Treatment Of Waste Material And Reactor System Thereof
The reactor system comprises a reactor vessel with at least one inlet and a first and a second outlet, which reactor vessel is configured for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer and which first and second outlet are configured for removal of a first and a second part of a reaction mixture. The reactor system further comprises a heat exchanger downstream of the first outlet. Herein the second outlet is arranged at a lower position of the reactor vessel than the first outlet. The first outlet is configured for removal of the first part being a dispersion and/or solution comprising said condensation polymer and depolymerisation products thereof in a solvent. Said first part is led to the heat exchanger. The second outlet is configured for removal of the second part including agglomerates. The reactor system is used for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer.
METHOD OF RECYCLING CARBON FIBER
Provided is a method of recycling carbon fibers that allows obtaining continuous carbon fibers. The present embodiment is a method of recycling carbon fibers that includes preparing a carbon fiber reinforced plastic molded product including carbon fiber reinforced plastic containing carbon fibers and a resin and drawing the carbon fiber reinforced plastic while performing a heating treatment on the carbon fiber reinforced plastic molded product. A temperature of the heating treatment is equal to or above a glass-transition temperature of the resin and below a thermal decomposition start temperature, and the temperature is below a thermal degradation temperature of the carbon fibers.
Physical reutilization of siliconized sheets
The method for the physical reutilization of sheet-like siliconized structures comprises treating the sheet-like siliconized structure in a liquid digestion system comprising acetic anhydride and/or an acetoxysiloxane, and at least one Brønsted acid, optionally solvent, preferably with addition of acetic acid, and removing the desiliconized sheet-like structure from the liquid phase.
PROCESS FOR RECYCLING LAMINATED POLYMER PACKAGING USING ETHYLENE GLYCOL
“PROCESS FOR RECYCLING LAMINATED POLYMER PACKAGING USING ETHYLENE GLYCOL” applied in polymeric packaging containing one or more materials from a group formed by PP, PE, PET and aluminum; said process being comprising performing the selective dissolution of PET, reusing it as a product of its reaction with glycol, as well as separating aluminum in its metallic form and PP and PE as a supernatant portion in said product.
METHOD FOR REMOVING ADHESIVES AND/OR INTERLAMINAR INKS ON LAMINATED PLASTIC MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a method for removing interlaminar adhesives and/or inks on laminated plastic material, which comprises the following steps:
a) microperforating the laminated plastic material with at least one microperforation per cm.sup.2,
b) removing the ink and/or adhesive by adding a washing solution to the microperforated plastic resulting from step a),
c) separating the plastic material and the aqueous material.
Method of Separating and Purifying a Mixed Stream of Contaminated Reclaimed Polyethylene and Polypropylene
A method of separating and purifying a mixed stream of contaminated reclaimed polyethylene and contaminated reclaimed polypropylene is provided. The method comprises the steps of extraction, dissolution, settling, purification, and solvent separation to produce separate streams of purified recycled polyethylene and purified recycled polypropylene. Both separate streams are produced in the same production plant operating in swing mode, and have virgin-like optical properties.
DISSOLVER REACTOR WITH REMOVABLE BASKET
A horizontal reactor equipped with a front cover and including a circular cylindrical rotating cage having multiple openings and rotated about a horizontal axis by a motor, a single horizontal rotary shaft mechanically connecting the rotating cage to the motor and extending towards the outside from the distal face of the housing, at least one bearing provided around the rotary shaft to hold it and guide it, and to support the weight of the rotating cage in cantilever, at least one removable basket having multiple openings and intended to be able to be introduced inside the rotating cage and to be removed through an open circular face of the rotating cage provided opposite the cover.
