Process and Machine for Releasing Curve Memory in a Reclaimed Tire Strip
A machine and process for producing a block of construction material from harvested tire tread strips by receiving a strip of flexible material having a radial curvature memory in a first direction, perforating the strip of flexible material to produce crosswise plunge cuts into the flexible material from at least a first surface, wherein each crosswise cut each extends laterally across the width of the strip of flexible material, and wherein a depth of each crosswise cut is less than the thickness of the strip of flexible material; and bending the perforated strip of flexible material in a first curvature, wherein the first curvature produces a convex shape on the first surface, wherein the bending is along a longitudinal direction of the strip of flexible material, and wherein a bending force applied to the strip is sufficient to break some of the flexible material contributing to the radial curvature memory.
Process for recycling a bituminous waste product such as a bituminous waste membrane product
An object of the instant application is to provide a process of recycling a bituminous product such as a waste bituminous membrane product optionally containing reinforcement layers comprising grinding and melting steps.
Apparatus for the pretreatment and subsequent conveying, plastification, or agglomeration of plastics
The invention relates to an apparatus for the pretreatment and subsequent conveying or plastification of plastics, with a container with a mixing and/or comminution implement that is rotatable around an axis of rotation, wherein, in a side wall, an aperture is formed, through which the plastics material can be removed, a multiscrew conveyor being provided, with at least two screws rotating in a housing, wherein the imaginary continuation of the longitudinal axis of the conveyor in a direction opposite to the direction of conveying passes the axis of rotation, where, on the outflow side, there is an offset distance between the longitudinal axis of the screw closest to the container, on the outflow side, and the radius that is parallel to the longitudinal axis, and in that the screws co-rotate.
METHOD OF RECYCLING BOTTLES
A slicing station may be configured to divide a container into at least two container portions. The container may include a bottle and a closure secured to the bottle, the bottle including a base, a sidewall, a bell, a finish portion, and a label. The sidewall may include a label portion to which the label is secured. The closure may be secured to the finish portion. A slicing station may include a label remover configured to remove the label from the label portion. A slicing station may include a first slicer configured to remove the closure from the bottle by cutting the bottle. A slicing station may include a second slicer and a third slicer each configured to remove the label portion from the bottle by cutting the bottle.
Processes and structures for recycling carpet and products of such processes
Methods and equipment for the recycling of carpet are disclosed that produce a clean fiber product suitable for industrial use. The methods allow the recovery of face fiber material, for example a polyester, polyolefin, or a polyamide, from carpets that includes a face fiber material, a polypropylene backing material, and an adhesive, and include the steps of mechanically impacting the carpet to break the bonds between the adhesive and the fibrous components, treating the fibrous components to remove adhesive granules from the fibrous components, and optionally separating the polypropylene backing from the face fiber. A clean adhesive/calcium carbonate product can also be produced from this process.
Process for preparing a broken-up, cellulose-containing, starting material with a predefined fibre-length distribution
A method for providing a treated cellulose-comprising starting material (110), in particular a starting material for forming a, in particular regenerated, cellulosic molded body (102) is described. The method comprises: i) supplying a cellulose-comprising starting material (101) which comprises cellulosic fibers, and treating (20) the cellulose-comprising starting material (101), to obtain the treated cellulose-comprising starting material (110), such that the cellulose fibers of the treated cellulose-comprising starting material (110) comprises a predetermined fiber length distribution. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing a cellulosic molded body (102), a treated cellulose-comprising starting material (110), and a use of used textiles are described.
Extruded Polystyrene Processing Device
An extruded polystyrene processing device for processing extruded polystyrene includes a processing plant which includes a chopping unit for chopping extruded polystyrene into chopped pieces. The chopping unit is connected to a solvent bath unit for submerging the chopped pieces in a solvent for eliminating air bubbles in the chopped pieces. The solvent bath unit is connected to a conveyor unit for rinsing the chopped pieces and the conveyor unit is connected to a freezing unit to subsequently freeze the chopped pieces. The freezing unit is connected to a grinding unit for grinding the frozen chopped pieces into a granular material for subsequent collection and transportation to a waste management facility. In this way the processing plant reduces the total volume of the extruded polystyrene prior to being handled by the waste management facility.
