Portable Customization System For Articles Of Footwear
A steaming system for an article of footwear includes a container with a lid configured to accommodate a steam source. The system also includes provisions for securing the article of footwear such that a majority of the upper is subjected to steam. Articles of footwear may be placed in the steaming system to help customize the articles of apparel for a user's fit and comfort. The steaming system can be configured to be portable and carried by a person.
Rapidly pressing mixtures of paper and plastic to targeted thickness and density
A method may include pressing a mat including a blend of paper and plastic fragments by applying a pressure to the mat using a heated press such that the mat is compressed to a first thickness, where the pressure is greater than a critical pressure threshold such that at least a portion of a moisture content of the mat is in a super-heated liquid state. The method may include maintaining the pressure on the mat above the critical pressure threshold until at least a portion of the plastic fragments of the mat are melted. The method may include decreasing the pressure on the mat below the critical pressure threshold such that the mat expands to a second thickness greater than or equal to a target thickness, and such that the portion of the moisture content of the mat in the super-heated liquid state is converted to steam.
Method for molding recycled EPS using powder adhesive and steam
A method is provided of molding recycled EPS and other suitable expanded bead materials using a powder adhesive and steam. The method allows for molding EPS parts with over 5% and up to 100% recycled content. The method involves using an adhesive to fuse the regrind EPS particles under pressure from steam. The adhesive may be in powder form and preferably comprises small particles having a high surface area per unit weight and high static so the adhesive powder sticks to the surface of the regrind EPS particles during a dry blending step.
TIRE VULCANIZING APPARATUS
An apparatus for vulcanizing a tire comprises: a side mold segment provided with a face for shaping the outer surface of a tire sidewall portion, and an opposite face not serving for shaping; and a heater part for vulcanizing the raw tire. The heater part is disposed adjacently to the side mold segment to heat the raw tire abutting on the side-shaping-face from the side of the face not serving for shaping. The side mold segment is provided with a flow path through which a first fluid whose temperature is lower than the vulcanization temperature of the raw tire can flow to prevent over-vulcanization of the sidewall portion.
TOOL FOR FIXING A TEXTILE SLEEVE ABOUT AN ELONGATE MEMBER TO BE PROTECTED AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A tool for fixing a protective textile sleeve about an elongate member contained therein and method of use thereof is provided. The tool includes a clamp assembly having opposed clamp members attached to one another for pivotal movement relative to one another between an open state and a closed state. The clamp members have clamping surfaces, wherein at least one of the clamping surfaces has at least one outlet. A fluid source is arranged in fluid communication with the at least one outlet, and a heat source is configured to heat fluid from the fluid source to create steam. The steam is dispensed outwardly from the at least one outlet to cause an adhesive on the sleeve to become activated to bond with an adjacent abutting surface.
Injection molding device and method for injection molding
An injection molding device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first mold including a first injection port through which a raw material is injected; a second mold including a heating member; a first movable mold facing the first mold or the second mold and having a first cavity formed therein; and a second movable mold facing the first mold or the second mold and having a second cavity formed therein, wherein the position of the first movable mold and the position of the second movable mold can be changed.
Moulded multilayer lining for heat and sound insulation
A pressurized steam molded multilayer lining for heat and sound insulation comprising a first layer forming a reinforcement layer made of a blended web of polyamide matrix material in the form of powder or fibers or flakes and reinforcement fibers, and at least a second layer chosen from an open cell foam layer, or a heat reflecting layer, or a second reinforcement layer made of a blended web of polyamide matrix material in the form of powder or fibers or flakes and reinforcement fibers, and whereby due to the pressurized steam molding, all layers are laminated together and all available blended webs are consolidated to form porous reinforcement layers.
Tube Mandrel and Methods for Forming a Tube
A mandrel for the manufacture of a tube is provided. The mandrel includes one or more discs spaced apart from each other; one or more guide wires coupled to one or more of the discs; and one or more control wires coupled to one or more of the discs. Articulation of one or more of the control wires induces a shape change in the tube. Methods for manufacturing a tube are also provided.
Wear-heat-resistant anti-bacterial anti-fouling steel wire framed pipe and manufacturing method thereof
A wear-heat-resistant anti-bacterial anti-fouling steel wire framed pipe and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The steel wire framed pipe includes: an anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer, an enhancement layer and a wear-heat-resistant outer layer from inside to outside in turn, wherein: the anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer is made from antifouling and antibacterial composite modified polyethylene; the wear-heat-resistant outer layer is made from wear-resistant cross-linked modified PE-RT; the enhancement layer includes an interlayer and two steel wire gauze layers respectively coating on an inner surface and an outer surface of the interlayer, and the interlayer is respectively bonded with the anti-bacterial anti-fouling inner layer and the wear-heat-resistant outer layer via hot-melt adhesive. The steel wire framed pipe provided by the present invention has high structural strength, wear-resistance, heat-resistance, and anti-bacterial and anti-fouling properties.
Semiconductive roller and production method therefor
A semiconductive roller (1) is produced by: preparing a rubber composition containing a rubber component including an NBR and an EPDM in a mass ratio of NBR/EPDM=70/30 to 30/70, at least one selected from the group consisting of SAF, ISAF and HAF, sulfur, a peroxide crosslinking agent and a sulfenamide accelerating agent; extruding the rubber composition into a tubular body; crosslinking the tubular body in a vulcanization can or with the use of a continuous crosslinking apparatus; and forming an oxide film (5) in an outer peripheral surface (4) of the tubular body by irradiation with ultraviolet radiation with a shaft (3) inserted through the tubular body.
