THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND MEDIUM CONVEYING METHOD
A three-dimensional image forming system according to the present invention includes a conveyance path along which a heat-expandable sheet is conveyed, a heating unit which heats the heat-expandable sheet by irradiating the heat-expandable sheet with light, a detection sensor which detects that the rear end of the heat-expandable sheet comes close to the heating unit by the conveyance of the heat-expandable sheet along the conveyance path, and a control unit which increases the conveying speed of the heat-expandable sheet whose rear end is detected when the detection sensor detects that the rear end of the heat-expandable sheet comes close to the heating unit.
ULTRAVIOLET CURING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An ultraviolet (UV) curing system is configured to cure a composite structure. The UV curing system includes a plurality of UV light assemblies that are configured to adaptively conform to a shape of the composite structure. A UV curing method is configured to cure a composite structure. The UV curing method includes positioning a UV curing system on the composite structure, and adaptively conforming a plurality of UV light assemblies of the UV curing system to a shape of the composite structure.
UV And High Energy Visible Absorbing Ophthalmic Lenses
An ophthalmic lens operable to protect the eye from harmful ultraviolet and high energy visible wavelengths of light and methods for producing the same.
SYSTEMS FOR PREVENTING OXYGEN INHIBITION OF A LIGHT-INITIATED POLYMERIZATION REACTION IN A 3D PRINTING SYSTEM USING UNIFORM PLANAR SURFACES
Systems and methods that prevent oxygen inhibition of a light-initiated polymerization reaction by forcing the oxygen away from the reaction surfaces. In some embodiments, oxygen is purged by bringing a planarizing surface (e.g., a thin transparent film and/or a transparent planar surface) into contact with a layer of UV curable material disposed on a workpiece and then moving the planarizing surface away from the workpiece one the UV material is cured.
METHODS FOR CLEANING AND POST-CURING ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED OBJECTS
Systems, methods, and devices for post-processing additively manufactured objects are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a method includes receiving a plurality of additively manufactured objects on a rotor, the plurality of additively manufactured objects having excess material thereon. The method can include removing the excess material from the plurality of additively manufactured objects by rotating the plurality of additively manufactured objects via the rotor. The method can further include applying energy to the plurality of additively manufactured objects to cure a portion of each additively manufactured object while the plurality of additively manufactured objects are on the rotor.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A RIVET CONNECTION OF A FIBER COMPOSITE COMPONENT
A method for manufacturing a rivet connection of a fiber composite component. The method includes positioning a first component which contains a fiber composite material in an overlap joint with a second component, laser-drilling a shared through-hole at least through the fiber composite material of the first component, inserting a rivet into the through-hole and fixing the rivet to the first and to the second component.
Imprinting device and imprinting method
This application relates to an imprinting apparatus and method. In one aspect, the imprinting apparatus applies pressure between a master substrate and a polymer film to transfer a pattern formed on the master substrate to the polymer film. The imprinting apparatus includes a plurality of coils and the surface of the master substrate is heated by an electromagnetic field induced by the plurality of coils. Through holes are defined in each of the plurality of coils, and support bars are inserted into the through holes. The positions of the plurality of coils are changed corresponding to the master substrate.
UV-curable resin composition for vacuum forming and replica film of real material comprising the same
Disclosed are a UV-curable resin composition for vacuum forming and a replica film of a real material including the same. The UV-curable resin composition includes a prepolymer including a urethane-containing oligomer, an acrylate monomer and a photoinitiator.
Method for producing an intraocular lens, and production device
The invention relates to a method for producing an intraocular lens, including the steps of providing a container which is transparent to electromagnetic radiation and in which a liquid that is curable by the electromagnetic radiation is arranged; irradiating the liquid with a set of images formed by the electromagnetic radiation, which each depict an intraocular lens, with each of the images of the set being radiated into the liquid at a different angle of incidence with respect to a reference plane that extends through the liquid, as a result of which the liquid is cured and the cured liquid forms the intraocular lens, an actuator, a solar module and/or a sensor being arranged in the liquid and the intraocular lens being formed around the actuator, the solar module and/or the sensor.
DEPOSITION PRINT HEAD
A deposition print head including a non-susceptive or low susceptive sleeve, a susceptive element having a filament channel, the susceptive element arranged inside the sleeve, wherein the susceptive element is susceptive for at least one of a magnetic field and an electrical field, wherein the filament channel is for feeding a thermoplastic filament in a feed direction. The deposition print head further includes an exciter arranged around the susceptive element, wherein the exciter is arranged for generating a field compatible with the susceptivity of the susceptive element, and a nozzle attached to one end of the susceptive element.
