Polymeric cutting edge structures and method of manufacturing polymeric cutting edge structures

A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MICROPATTERNING OBJECTS

Implanted medical devices need a mechanism of immobilization to surrounding tissues, which minimizes tissue damage while providing reliable long-term anchoring. This disclosure relates to techniques for patterning arbitrarily shaped 3D objects and to patterned balloon devices having micro- or nano-patterning on an outer surface of an inflatable balloon. The external pattern can provide enhanced friction and anchoring in an aqueous environment. Examples of these types of patterns are hexagonal arrays inspired by tree frogs, corrugated patterns, and microneedle patterns. The patterned balloon devices can be disposed between an implant and surrounding tissues to facilitate anchoring of the implant.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ULTRASOUND PROBE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN ULTRASOUND TREATMENT TOOL, AND ULTRASOUND TREATMENT TOOL

A bowling ball can have an inner core layer that is shaped, constructed, and/or configured to provide the bowling ball with one or more prescribed properties or characteristics, and a cover stock layer comprising a liquid curable material received about the inner core layer. The bowling ball further has a riser pin feature that is at least partially defined by a passage extending through at least the cover stock layer and in which a filler material is received. The riser pin feature can be located in an opposite hemisphere of the bowling ball from a hemisphere including the true center of gravity and a marked heavy spot of the bowling ball and can be arranged within about 1 inch of an end of the Low Radius of Gyration Axis of the bowling ball.

MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR A CHILD CARRYING DEVICE
20200353851 · 2020-11-12 ·

A manufacturing method for a child carrying device includes the following steps: providing a mold and disposing a main body of the child carrying device into the mold, and injecting a foam material into a cavity of the mold and foaming the foam material so as to form a flexible layer integrated with the main body. The manufacturing method disposes the main body into the mold and directly forms a flexible layer on the main body, so that the flexible layer ensures safety and comfort of the child carrying device while saves the necessity to dispose a seat pad or a cushion and fixing structures on the main body, and thereby reduces the cost and the work-hour of assembly, and the overall weight of the child carrying device can be reduced by omitting the fixing structures.

POLYURETHANE COATING COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR USE AS GEL COATS

Polyurethane coating compositions are disclosed that include an isocyanate-reactive component that includes a polycyclic polyether polyol that is the reaction product of a reaction mixture that includes a polycyclic polyol starter, and an alkylene oxide, as well as an isocyanate-functional component that includes a non-aromatic polyisocyanate. The polyurethane coating compositions may be particularly useful as a gel coat in the manufacture of glass fiber reinforced plastics.

COATED FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

An object is to provide a manufacturing method of a fiber-reinforced resin that significantly reduces a resin filling defect on the surface and surface irregularity caused by a temperature difference between a molding temperature (curing temperature) and ordinary temperature in the course of molding the fiber-reinforced resin, and a product manufactured by the manufacturing method. There is accordingly provided a manufacturing method of a coated fiber-reinforced resin molded article and a product manufactured by the manufacturing method. The manufacturing method comprises a first molding process that cures a matrix resin which a reinforcing fiber is impregnated with at a temperature T1( C.) to obtain a fiber-reinforced resin molded article; and a second molding process that places the fiber-reinforced resin molded article in a cavity of a mold, sets the cavity to a temperature T2( C.) that is lower than the temperature T1( C.), injects a liquid coating layer-forming resin material into the cavity such as to coat at least part of a surface layer of the fiber-reinforced resin molded article, and cures the coating layer-forming resin material at the temperature T2( C.), so as to obtain the coated fiber-reinforced resin molded article, wherein the mold is comprised of at least two pieces and has the cavity in a shape that is approximately same as a shape of the fiber-reinforced resin molded article.

A vehicle interior panel includes a decorative skin layer and a backing layer. The backing layer can include a barrier material that helps prevent outgassing of a plasticizer of the decorative skin layer in a direction toward an underlying substrate of the panel. The backing layer can be formed by vacuum coating and/or formed while a slush molded layer remains on a slush molding tool surface on which it was formed. in some cases, a slush molding tool thus finds new uses in a vacuum coating process or in some other process apart from slush molding.
