A removable fluid barrier comprises a generally planar flexible body fabricated of at least one resilient material and encapsulating a plurality of permanent magnets. The flexible body has an outer face defining a sealing surface of the removable fluid barrier.

Moulded Polyurethane Hydrogels

The technology relates to a method of producing a moulded polyurethane hydrogel, for example a condom. The method involves forming a solution of at least one polyurethane having a molecular weight of between about 40000 to about 500000 in a water:organic polar solvent comprising less than about 40% (v/v) water; applying a layer of the solution to a mould; drying the layer of the first solution to form a polyurethane film on the mould; and contacting the polyurethane film with a swelling agent under conditions such that the film forms a polyurethane hydrogel with a swelling agent content of between about 1% to about 95%.

The invention relates to a reversible microfluidic chip comprising at least one lower part and at least one upper part configured to come into contact with said lower part and to close said chip, said lower part and/or said upper part comprising a microfluidic structure, and said upper part comprising at least one layer of a flexible epoxide polymer material and at least one layer of a rigid epoxide polymer material, at least one part of the flexible layer being directly in physical contact with the lower part of the chip when said chip is in the closed configuration, to the method for the fabrication thereof, to the use of said upper part in a reversible microfluidic chip, to said upper part for producing said chip, and to the uses of said chip in various applications.

ENGINEERED FLOORING PRODUCT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
20220010564 · 2022-01-13 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing an engineered flooring product comprising a core layer. The method provides the steps of: (a) mixing a hydrate compound, one or more stabilizing agents, and water in a mixer, forming a raw material slurry; (b) spreading a first layer of the raw material slurry onto a cull plate; (c) curing the first layer of raw material slurry; (d) after step (c), releasing the cured first layer of raw material slurry from the cull plate; (e) after step (d), trimming the cured first layer of raw material slurry released from the cull plate; and, (f) after step (e), cooling the cured first layer of raw material slurry released from the cull plate for at least about 24 hours at a temperature ranging from about 10° C.-30° C. thereby forming the engineered flooring product.

Handle

A handle in which a sensor layer capable of detecting grip is disposed on a gripping portion that is gripped at a time of steering. The gripping portion includes a core material, a covering layer formed of urethane foam, which is disposed by die-molding so as to cover a periphery of the core material, the sensor layer, and a protective layer covering the sensor layer. The sensor layer is formed of a mold coat agent formed of a urethane-based paint containing a conductive material. The mold coat agent is applied to a die surface of a molding die of the covering layer. At a time of molding the covering layer, the sensor layer formed of the mold coat agent is disposed on a surface side of the covering layer.

Methods for forming noise absorbing barrier walls and related forms

A barrier wall is formed by rotating a mold to a horizontal orientation so that a rear wall of the mold is horizontally disposed and an encircling sidewall upstands from the rear wall, the floor and encircling sidewall at least partially bounding a compartment, an upper end of the encircling sidewall at least partially bounding a first access opening to the compartment. A first material is disposed into the compartment through the first access opening, at least a portion of the material being curable. A cover is placed over the first access opening to enclose the compartment. The mold is then rotated from the horizontal orientation to a vertical orientation. A portion of the sidewall is then moved to form a second access opening to the compartment. A second material is then dispensed into the compartment, at least a portion of the second material being curable.

Polyethylenes And Processes For Producing Polyethylenes

The present disclosure provides processes for producing polyethylene resins. In at least one embodiment, a polyethylene has: a density of from about 0.91 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.94 g/cm.sup.3; a value of Mz of about 1,500,000 g/mol or greater; and a ratio of Mz to Mw of about 7 or greater. A process includes introducing a first feed stream having ethylene monomer and a first free radical initiator to a first inlet of a first reaction zone, where the first reaction zone has a first inlet temperature. The process further includes introducing a second feed stream having ethylene monomer and a second free radical initiator to a second inlet of a second reaction zone, where the second reaction zone has a second inlet temperature that is the same or different than the first inlet temperature.
