A membrane for an electro-acoustic transducer comprised of at least one elastomer layer made using spray coating of a liquid elastomer solution is provided. The at least one layer of elastomer is made by spraying a liquid elastomer solution, which may comprise a silicone, onto a mold having the desired membrane geometry, allowing the solution to cure and remove the membrane from the mold. The mold can be configured to hold other components of an electro-acoustic transducer that will be attached to the membrane after the curing step.

A method for making a biocompatible three-dimensional heart valve includes delivering, using at least one delivery unit, a biocompatible fluid substance towards a mold having a mold surface to obtain a coating layer of predetermined thickness that coats the mold surface, where the biocompatible fluid substance includes a plurality of particles; handling the mold and the delivery unit to provide a relative movement with at least three degrees of freedom between the mold and the delivery unit, the mold coated with the biocompatible fluid substance that is delivered to obtain a three-dimensional heart valve having a surface corresponding to the mold surface; removing, using a suction and blowing device, from the mold any surplus particles of the biocompatible fluid substance dispensed to make uniform the predetermined thickness of the coating layer; and pressing a counter mold on the coating layer deposited on the mold after delivering the biocompatible fluid substance.

Apparatus and method for producing a biocompatible three-dimensional object
An apparatus for making a biocompatible three-dimensional object including at least one delivery unit arranged to deliver at least one biocompatible fluid substance towards a 3D mold having a matrix surface to obtain a coating layer of a predetermined thickness configured for coating the matrix surface. The three-dimensional object may be a heart valve. Furthermore, a handling unit is provided arranged to provide a relative movement according to at least 3 degrees of freedom between the 3D mold and each delivery unit. The 3D mold is arranged to be coated by the delivered biocompatible fluid substance, in order to obtain a three-dimensional object having an object surface copying the matrix surface of the support body.

A method of manufacturing a transport refrigeration unit is provided. The method includes providing an enclosure including an outer layer and a supporter. Providing the enclosure includes supplying one of a first material and a second material to a mold. This also includes supplying the other of the first material and the second material on the one of the first material and the second material that is supplied to the mold. Also, this includes curing the first material and the second material integrally that are supplied to the mold. The first material forms into the outer layer and the second material forms into the supporter. The second material includes a plurality of reinforcing fibers.
Systems, components, and methods for low pressure delivery of plural component foam systems comprising solid particles from unpressurized supply sources
Various examples are provided related to polyurethane spray foam and its application. In one example, a method includes providing a system including a polyurethane spray foam (SPF) raw material supply, a fluid handling system, an air source, a heated hose, a whip hose, and a metal stray gun. Each of part A and part B material streams, either or both of which include particles, are generated by the system and conveyed by the system through the system and into a disposable mixing nozzle engaged with the metal stray gun. A mixture of the part A and part B material streams can be applied, via the disposable mixing nozzle, to a surface or into a mold at a pressure of 250 psi or less. A polyurethane spray foam coating generated from the method can be applied at a thickness of from about 0.5 inches to about 12 inches.

The present disclosure is related to articles for use in footwear and other applications, and associated systems and methods. Certain embodiments relate to methods for producing articles, such depositing a fiber onto a last to form non-woven materials. The fiber may be, for example, a pre-formed fiber, or a fiber that includes a reaction product of a composition extruded from one or more nozzles. In some embodiments, a method may comprise using one or more nozzles to deposit a fiber to form a non-woven material and to 3D-print one or more features onto the non-woven material. In some cases, articles may be formed that include fewer than five pieces of material. In some embodiments, an article may include a non-woven material that comprises thermoset fibers. In addition, some embodiments relate to lasts that may be suited to forming non-woven materials.
