Method and apparatus for forming a non-pneumatic tire carcass
This disclosure includes methods and apparatus for forming a non-pneumatic tire carcass comprising an inner hub, an outer band, and a plurality of spokes. The method includes arranging the inner hub, the plurality of spokes, and the outer band to form a curing assembly arranged in a first arrangement within a forming apparatus, where the inner hub is arranged concentrically within a radially inner annular side of the outer band and the plurality of spokes are arranged between the outer band and the inner hub. The plurality of spokes are forced in opposite radial directions from the first arrangement and to a second arrangement, where each spoke of the plurality of spokes is forced in a curing position against the inner hub and towards the outer band in a curing arrangement. The plurality of spokes are then cured to each of the inner hub and outer band.
Medical syringe, gasket for use in the syringe, and gasket production method
A gasket (13) for use in a medical syringe is provided, which includes a main body (14) made of an elastic material, and a lamination film (15) provided on a surface of the main body (14). The gasket (13) has a circumferential surface portion (17) to be kept in contact with an inner peripheral surface of a syringe barrel (11) of the syringe. The gasket (13) has a groove (22) provided in the circumferential surface portion (17) thereof as extending circumferentially thereof. The groove (22) has a depth of not less than 0.8D (m), preferably not less than D (m), wherein D (m) is the thickness of a portion of the lamination film (15) present in the circumferential surface portion (17) of the gasket (13).
CONFORMABLE SEAMLESS THREE DIMENSIONAL ARTICLES AND METHODS THEREFOR
Waterproof, breathable garments and methods of making are provided. The garments may include a laminate of a seamless ePTFE membrane and at least one textile. The garment is conformable over a range of sizes, and may be shaped to fit numerous sizes and shapes of forming molds. The ePTFE membrane may shrink to fit, or, alternatively, be stretched to fit, a mold having a desired size to form a garment. Such a conformable ePTFE membrane may allow for forming multiple sizes of garments with various sizes and shapes of molds. In embodiments where the ePTFE membrane is seamless and continuous, the garment eliminates the need for a waterproof seam tape, which is conventionally used to make garments waterproof.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYERED CONTAINER
The multilayer container includes a container body having a multilayer structure and a multilayer head of the container. The multilayer body of the container has at least one barrier layer connected, on one side, to at least one thermoplastic layer and heat sealed in a longitudinal overlapping joint formed of the edges of these layers. The body has its external surface covered with a polymeric coating, and the multilayer head of the container includes at least one non-metallic barrier layer connected, on one side, to at least one thermoplastic layer and is wholly extruded in the co-extrusion process. The essence of the invention is also a method for producing such a container.

The process for manufacturing a timepiece component (10) including at least one fastening element (12), includes positioning at least one fastening element (12) within a manufacturing mould (20) by means of at least one guide element (25; 35), filling the manufacturing mould (20) with a material so as to overmould, i.e. at least partially envelop and set, the at least one fastening element (12) in the material, and removing the timepiece component (10) from the manufacturing mould (20), this timepiece component (10) being at least partly formed by the material and the at least one fastening element (12).

One illustrative device disclosed herein includes a package and a plurality of individual sections of a moldable material positioned within the package, wherein the plurality of individual sections of the moldable material are adapted to be deformed into a substantially contiguous seal between a first structure and a second structure and wherein the number of the individual sections of the moldable material within the package is selected so as to provide the necessary quantity of the plurality of individual sections of the moldable material so as to form the substantially contiguous seal.
Method of making a golf ball incorporating at least one elongated thermoset layer
Method of making a golf ball comprising: providing a subassembly and a thermoset polymer composition; partially curing the thermoset polymer composition and elongating same while in a partial cure state; forming a layer about the subassembly comprising the thermoset polymer composition; and further curing the thermoset polymer composition. A moldable thermoset polymer composition may be elongated while in state of partial cure. The thermoset polymer composition may be stepwise elongated by: stretching a thermoset polymer composition in at least one plane while in partial cure state and before forming into first and second half shells; forming the thermoset polymer composition into first and second half shells and elongating the thermoset polymer composition in three dimensions while in the partial cure state and before mating the first and second half shells about the subassembly; and mating the first and second half shells about the subassembly and forming a stepwise-elongated thermoset layer.
Composite structure and manufacturing method thereof
There is provided a composite structure, comprising a base member(s) made of metallic material, and a reinforcement member(s) made of fiber reinforced plastic including reinforcement fibers which are aligned in a uni-direction, wherein at least one slit is formed on the reinforcement member(s) so as to extend in an orientation direction of the reinforcement fibers.

A method of manufacturing magnets and a method of manufacturing a rotor are provided. An intermediate member includes a sheet and magnet bodies. The sheet includes a first sheet surface and a second sheet surface on a side opposite to the first sheet surface. The magnet bodies are located on the first sheet surface. A first die is made of an elastic material having an elastic coefficient lower than the elastic coefficient of the magnet bodies. The intermediate member is arranged between the first die and a second die such that the second sheet surface of the sheet faces the first die. The first die and the second die hold the intermediate member in between. Accordingly, the sheet is cut at positions between adjacent ones of the magnet bodies.
