ANIMAL HUSBANDRY NUTRIENT AND ODOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
20240343623 · 2024-10-17 · ·

A method and system to significantly reduce odor emissions caused by ammonia and other noxious gasses and reduce nitrogen levels in animal husbandry wastewater effectively and efficiently by the use of flush water that has been biochemically conditioned to lower the pH thus reducing the level of un-ionized compounds including NH.sub.3 which can volatilize into the atmosphere and which method and system can also be used to remove ammonia and nitrogen from the wastewater system. The present disclosure includes the use of flush water that has been biochemically conditioned to lower its pH thus sequestering non-ionized ammonia from being released from a liquid as ammonia gas. This disclosure relates to the new use of nitrification for biochemical conditioning of wastewater for use as flush water to reduce atmospheric ammonia emissions.

Disclosed are a food waste fermentation device and a livestock manure composing device both using soil microbes, and a biofield generator, a microbial cell, and a microbial condenser all of which are suitably used for the devices. The food waste fermentation device includes: a food waste treatment tank for containing food waste; and a biofield generator for promoting lactic acid fermentation of food waste. The biofield generator includes a DC module or an AC module. The DC module includes a DC battery, a frequency generator generating a predetermined frequency carrier wave using DC power, a microbial cell electrically connected to the frequency generator, and a DC output portion. The DC module generates a biofield consisting of an electromagnetic field generated by the frequency generator and an electromagnetic field generated by the microbial cell. The AC module generates a biofield using an AC input signal and a microbial condenser.

A system and method for recovering and utilizing landfill gas for electricity generation is provided, the system comprising: a landfill, biogas collection wells configured to collect biogas in the landfill, leachate collection wells configured to collect leachate in the landfill, and carbon dioxide injection wells configured to inject carbon dioxide into the landfill. The wells are arranged in a stratification in the landfill with the one or more biogas collection wells are arranged on top of the leachate collection wells, and the leachate collection wells are arranged on top of the carbon dioxide injection wells, and the carbon dioxide injection wells being arranged at the bottom. Methane recovered from the landfill biogas is used as a fuel source in the generation of electricity and the carbon dioxide exhaust from electricity generation is injected into the landfill to enhance the extraction of the biogas.

Method of producing plant suspension cells in a growth medium enriched with carbonic acid

The present invention provides a method of producing a photosynthetic product, the method comprising maintaining a photosynthetic plant or algal cell suspension culture, in the presence of water, light and a carbonic acid-enriched growth medium. The carbonic acid may, for example be provided by feeding the photosynthetic plant cell suspension culture with a carbonic acid solution, a solid or liquid precursor thereof, or a gaseous mixture of carbon dioxide and one or more other gases. The invention also provides a method for producing a photosynthetic product, the method comprising maintaining a photosynthetic plant or algal cell suspension culture, in the presence of water, light and a carbon source selected from carbon dioxide and carbonic acid, wherein the culture is maintained at a pH of less than 7.0, preferably 4.5 to 5.5.
