A forming mold for forming a prism by press molding includes a first mold, a second mold, and a third mold. The second mold includes a surface configured to form a base surface of a non-optical surface and is configured to define, together with the first mold, a space in which a material is disposed. The third mold is slidable with respect to the second mold so as to project toward the space with respect to the second mold and is configured to form a recess portion recessed with respect to the base surface.

Resin Block Production Device, Resin Block Production Method, and Resin Block

To provide an device capable of producing a resin block of any rosin material. Resin pellets (7) supplied to a resin block forming space (150) are heated and melted by a heater unit (300) and the melted resin pellets (7) are cooled and solidified to form a resin layer. Since a lifting mechanism (230) of a lifting unit (200) lowers a bottom surface plate (215) whenever forming each of the resin layers, the resin layers formed by the resin block forming space (150) are sequentially laminated to form a large resin block.

INTERIOR TRIM COMPONENT WITH A THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH AN INTERIOR TRIM COMPONENT

The present invention relates to an interior trim component with a three-dimensional shape, wherein the interior trim component is produced from a single nonwoven material and includes a first surface and a second surface. At least one region that forms the first surface, and at least one first section and at least one second section, each of which forming a part of the second surface, wherein the first section has a first section hardness, H1 and the second section has a second section hardness, H2, and the first section hardness H1 and the second section hardness H2 are different.

METHOD OF PRODUCING FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN
20200398461 · 2020-12-24 ·

A method of producing a fiber-reinforced resin by press-molding a prepreg preform contains a reinforcing fiber and a thermosetting resin, the method including (a) a preform production step of producing a preform; (b) a placement and preheating step of placing the preform in a mold and preheating the preform; (c) a pressing step of changing the preform into a product shape; and (d) a curing step of curing the preform while pressurizing the preform, wherein, at start of the pressing step (c), a degree of cure e of the thermosetting resin in a specific part of the preform is higher than a degree of cure i of the thermosetting resin in a region other than the specific part of the preform.

Thermoplastic Composite Part Manufacturing System and Method

A method and apparatus for a continuous compression molding machine. The continuous compression molding machine comprises a tooling die, extending through a heating zone and a cooling zone, a tooling sleeve, and a biasing system. The tooling sleeve corresponds to the tooling die and is for use in forming a thermoplastic composite part from a thermoplastic composite charge when the tooling sleeve with the thermoplastic composite charge is moved with respect to the tooling die through the heating zone and the cooling zone. The biasing system is configured to hold the thermoplastic charge at a first angle within the heating zone and hold the thermoplastic composite charge at a second angle within the cooling zone, as the tooling sleeve moves through the heating zone and the cooling zone with the thermoplastic composite charge. The first angle is different from the second angle.

The provided articles and methods use a non-woven fibrous web containing 60-100 wt % of oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers; and 0-40 wt % of reinforcing fibers having outer surfaces comprised of a polymer with a melting temperature of from 100 C. to 300 C. The non-woven fibrous web has an average bulk density of from 15 kg/m.sup.3 to 50 kg/m.sup.3, with the plurality of fibers substantially entangled along directions perpendicular to a major surface of the non-woven fibrous web. Optionally, the oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers can have a crimped configuration. Advantageously, these articles can display a combination of low thermal conductivity, high tensile strength, and flame resistance.
