An ultrasound probe of the present invention has a piezoelectric element and a backing material disposed on one direction side with respect to the piezoelectric element, the backing material containing heat conductive particles. The backing material has a heat conductivity of 2.0 W/mk or more, and the content of the heat conductive particles is less than 30 vol % based on the total volume of the backing material.
Apparatus and method for forming a concave object
A method comprises the following steps: providing a pre-processed element made of at least one polymeric material, introducing the pre-processed element in a female mould part having a forming cavity, shaping the pre-processed element between the female mould part and a male mould part, the female mould part and the male mould part being movable relative to one another along a moulding direction so as to form a concave object from the pre-processed element. The forming cavity has a transversal dimension measured transversely relative to the moulding direction, the forming cavity further having a transition zone in which the transversal dimension passes from a larger value to a smaller value, the forming cavity further having a bottom. During the introducing step, the pre-processed element is placed on the transition zone, so that the pre-processed element rests on the transition zone at a distance from the bottom of the forming cavity.

The invention relates to a mounting press for hot mounting a sample, comprising: a mounting cylinder which receives the sample and has a main cylinder axis and a cylinder opening, wherein the main cylinder axis extends inside the mounting cylinder and out through the cylinder opening, and a covering that extends around the cylinder opening, and a suction device for extracting granular material dust, granular material, or vapors, for example, wherein the suction device comprises a vacuum generator for providing a suction effect, and wherein the suction device is at least partly mounted on the covering or embedded in the covering.
Equipment for the production of slabs in mineral grits bound with resins
The equipment for the production of slabs in mineral grits bound with resins, comprises: a support frame, at least one lower plate, locked together with the frame, comprising at least one positioning zone for at least one mold having at least one forming cavity, open at the top, to contain a mix comprising the materials necessary to obtain the slabs, at least one pressing assembly comprising an upper plate movable, with respect to the frame, from an upper position of loading/unloading the mold in/from the positioning zone, to a lower position of pressing the mix inside said forming cavity, vibrating means associated at least with the lower plate, and an airtight chamber, communicating with suction means, adapted to reduce the pressure to a value lower than the atmospheric pressure, containing the mold, where the chamber is interposed between the lower plate and an upper closing element opposite the lower plate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING MOLDED FIBER PRODUCTS
A molded fiber part production line includes a forming station, a part transfer system, a press station, and a removal system. The forming station includes a slurry tank, a forming mold, and a mold actuation system. The part transfer system includes a part transfer feature and a conveyance mechanism. The press station includes a core mold, a cavity mold compatible with the core mold, and a press actuation system. The removal system includes a removal feature defining a plurality of part vacuum channels and a plurality of trim vacuum channels. The removal system also includes a conveyance mechanism for moving the removal feature from a position in engagement with at least one of the core mold and the cavity mold to another position.
VACUUM FORMING MACHINE HAVING PRE-BLOWING LOWER CHAMBER
In a the vacuum forming machine having a pre-blowing lower chamber, a lower space located at the lower side of a raw material which is thermally expanded in a heating process for vacuum forming is sealed and the preset amount of air is introduced into the lower space of the raw material by a blowing device installed to communicate with the sealed lower space of the raw material such that the sagging of the raw material is prevented, whereby the vacuum forming of the raw material whose entire portion is uniformly heated is performed, thereby securing even thickness of the raw material.
Optical polymer films and methods for casting the same
An example system is configured to photocure a photocurable material to form a polymer film. The system includes a first chuck configured to support a first substantially planar mold, a second chuck configured to support a second substantially planar mold, and an actuable stage coupled to the first chuck and/or the second chuck. The actuable stage is configured to position the first chuck and/or the second chuck so that the first and second molds are separated by a gap. The system also includes a sensor arrangement for obtaining measurement information indicative of a distance between the first and second molds and/or a pressure between the first and second chucks at each of at least three locations. The system also includes a control module configured control the gap between the first and second molds based on the measurement information.
SURFACE PROTRUSION FORMATIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Methods and systems for mechanically forming one or more surface protrusions integrally from a garment material, the one or more surface protrusions extending outwardly from a garment surface of the garment material, include placing at least one selected area of the garment surface against a first surface of a forming die having a plurality of openings which have a configuration and orientation corresponding with the configuration and orientation of the one or more surface protrusions of the garment material.
