The present invention provides an imprint apparatus which forms a pattern on an imprint material on a substrate by using a mold, the apparatus comprising a measurement unit configured to measure an inclination of a surface of the substrate at a second position different from a first position where the mold is brought into contact with the imprint material, and a control unit configured to control at least one of inclinations of a surface of the mold and the surface of the substrate when bringing the mold into contact with the imprint material at the first position, wherein the control unit controls at least one of the inclinations based on information representing inclinations of a surface of a reference substrate at the first position and the second position, and a measurement result obtained by the measurement unit.

A surface fastener molding apparatus includes a supporting structure and a second supporting structure for axially supporting a mold roll in a rotatable manner at a first end side and a second end side of the mold roll which is opposite to the first end side. The mold roll includes a circumferential surface in which a plurality of mold cavities for molding engaging elements of the surface fastener is provided. A first linear driving means and second linear driving means are provided which are for, respectively, advancing or retracting the first supporting structure and the second supporting structure. The degree of closeness between the extruding nozzle and the mold roll is regulatable across the first end side and the second end side of the mold roll, based on at least one activation of the first driving means and the second driving means.

The invention relates to a process to make films and tapes from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) in the solid state. The films and tapes according to the invention have an improved thickness whereby the coefficient of variation of the thickness of the film of at most 6%.

The extrusion apparatus includes a screw in a fixed barrel. The barrel has a feed inlet and an outlet with an extrusion nozzle which discharges into the nip between first and second rotary rolls that can rotate in opposite directions. The apparatus also has a first means for rotating and a first control means that are able to synchronize the speed of rotation of the first roll and the screw and has a second means that is able to rotate the second screw at a different speed of rotation than the first roll. The first control means can regulate the speed of rotation of the screw depending on the width of the strip, and a second control means can regulate the speed of rotation of the second roll depending on the thickness of the strip.

The invention relates to a mold for manufacturing plastics parts, including a first element and a second element, the two elements defining a volume of a molding chamber in the closed position of the mold. At least one of the elements is provided with a system for adjusting the volume of the molding chamber. The system includes a movable block and a mechanical movement system capable of moving the movable block in a given direction, in a direction that reduces a volume of the molding chamber and/or in an opposite direction for increasing a volume of the molding chamber. The invention also relates to a method of compression molding, to a method of expansion molding and to a method of compression and expansion molding.
Method For Preparing Panels Made of a Composite of Cork and Polyethylene
The present invention relates to a process for preparation of polyethylene-cork composite panels comprising the steps of: mixing 10-64% of cork granulate and 36-90% of polyethylene granulate at room temperature, and feeding a press with this mixture; compressing this mixture in the press with a compression force in the range of 300-450 kN, at a temperature in the range of 160-200 C. and for a hot compression time between 24-180 seconds; and cooling to room temperature, with a compression force between 350-450 kN, for a cold compression time between 32 and 240 seconds; to obtain panels with a thickness between 3 and 5 mm. The invention further relates to a polyethylene-cork composite panel and also to use thereof in the construction industry, particularly as cover board core.
Method and tool for embossing
The present disclosure relates to a method for embossing a plastic sheet and a corresponding tool (1). The plastic sheet is pressed between first and second tool halves (3, 5) while being heated such that a pattern is imprinted on first and second faces (19, 21) of the plastic sheet. Reference marks (31, 33) are imprinted on both faces of the plastic sheet and the embossed plastic sheet is evaluated optically to determine error data based on the relative position of the first and second reference marks. This allows to adjust the embossing tool based on the error data for subsequent embossing operations.
