INDOOR-TRADITIONAL CLIMBING DEVICE COVER
20220347539 · 2022-11-03 ·

Traditional climbing is being sought out by more indoor climbers, however the issue that has arisen is that the only way to learn the method is through trial and error in the outdoors on real rock. An indoor-traditional climbing device (I-TCD) makes it possible to learn how to climb Traditionally in a safe environment with hands on instruction. Provided herein is a cover/shield for an I-TCD that allows not only for the placement of multiple kinds of gear within the I-TCD body, but it allows the climber to fall on that gear placement safely to determine the quality of their gear placement, without the risk of falling upon the I-TCD body. Therefore, the cover/shield provides an angled feature to reduce direct impact injuries while increasing the opportunity for climbers who wish to learn how to climb traditionally.

EXPANDING FOAMS IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Methods of creating additive manufactured parts from expanding foam material include printing a part made of an expandable foam, using an additive manufacturing system. The foam is printed in an unexpanded state and has a closed layer at an external surface of the part. Expansion of the part is controlled, using the additive manufacturing system, wherein the expansion is performed after the printing. Methods also include modeling an expansion of a part made of an expandable foam, and printing the part made of the expandable foam, using an automated additive manufacturing system and according to the modeling. The foam is printed in an unexpanded state and has a closed layer at an external surface of the part.

HANGING STRUCTURE FOR SEAT FOAM
20220330704 · 2022-10-20 ·

Disclosed is a fastening structure for a seating foam, comprising a foam and a reinforcement fabric, and characterized in that the fastening structure is directly provided at a reinforcement fabric at a location corresponding to a fastening position, and is connected to the reinforcement fabric. The fastening structure of the present invention simultaneously meets two functional requirements of a foam, namely reinforcement of a side B of the foam and fastening of an exterior side A of the foam. The novel fastening structure of the present invention saves space, is thin and light, enhances the strength of the foam against a pull-out force, and optimizes a foam production process.

There is provided a skin foam-in-place foamed article comprising a pad (15) and a bag-like outer material (20) covering the pad (15). The outer material (20) has a top layer (21) and a liner layer (22) made of a foamed resin. The liner layer (22) has a closed cell structure. A pad-side skin layer (27a) having a density higher than that of a bulk layer (26) is provided on the liner layer (22), on a side of the pad (15). A corona treatment is applied to the pad-side skin layer (27a).

METHODS, SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR PRODUCING RIGID FOAM BOARDS USING OPTICAL AND INFRARED IMAGING

Disclosed are methods, systems and computer program products for producing rigid foam board, comprising: depositing a foam producing mixture on a facer as it travels along a conveyor; producing a rigid foam board via an exothermic reaction; imaging the rigid foam board after it is produced but before it has cooled to room temperature, using an infrared or an optical imaging device, to capture an image of the rigid foam board; receiving a signal comprising the captured image from the imaging device to a computing device; determining, based on the captured image, if a defect that requires correction exists in the rigid foam board; and optionally, in response to determining that a defect requiring correction exists, modifying a process parameter in producing rigid foam board.

Jet engine with toroidal air stream combustion

An electrically decoupled jet engine. The electrically decoupled jet engine includes a combustion chamber which creates a toroidal flow of air and a rotational electric motor which drives a fuel supply into the combustion chamber. The toroidal flow of air is mixed with the fuel and combusted in the combustion chamber to create thrust.

SEAT PAD MANUFACTURING METHOD

A seat pad manufacturing method is provided. The method includes disposing a sheet member inside a foaming mold for shaping a seat pad, then injecting a foaming resin material into the foaming mold and foaming a resin foamed body through mold clamping, and demolding the resin foamed body in a state in which the sheet member is buried in the resin foamed body. Both end parts of the sheet member in the right-left direction and both end parts of the sheet member in the extending direction are each temporarily fastened to the surface of the mold through a fastener. The foaming resin material is injected into a space between the mold surface and the sheet member. A central part of the sheet member deforms into a shape curved in a convex shape as the sheet member is pressed upward through expansion of the foaming resin material.
