METHOD OF MAKING COEXTRUDED CROSSLINKED POLYOLEFIN FOAM WITH POLYAMIDE CAP LAYERS
Described herein are physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structures that includes a foam layer comprising polypropylene, polyethylene, or a combination of polypropylene and polyethylene and a polyamide cap layer. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer and at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
FORMING MOLD FOR MAKING POLYVINYL CHLORIDE FOAMED WOOD-LIKE SLATS
A forming mold for making polyvinyl chloride foamed wood-like slats includes an inlet, an outlet, and two main flow passages symmetrically arranged with respect to a central axis. The main flow passages each have an inlet section and an outlet section. The inlet section of each main flow passage is connected to the inlet. The extension direction of the inlet section of each main flow passage respectively defines with the central axis an included angle therebetween. The sum of the angles of the two first included angles ranges from 45 to 52 degrees. The longitudinal cross-sectional width of each main flow passage gradually decreases from the inlet toward the outlets. In this way, the forming mold of the present invention can effectively improve production efficiency and can increase the stability of the product manufacturing process.
COMPOSITE PANEL AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
Apparatus and methods directed to a panel for use on a trailer. The panel includes a panel member core with a length that can have a first segment of thermoplastic foam extending the length and a second segment of thermoplastic foam extending the length adjacent the first segment. The first segment can have a first density and the second segment can have a second density. The first density can be greater than the second density. A sheet can extend over the first and second segments and can be laminated to the panel member core. The panel member can be formed through extrusion.
Foam fiber elastomeric materials and their manufacturing
The present invention concerns an elastic fibrous material, based on a fiber network, also including an elastomeric component, which material has been formed into a flat structure with two surfaces. Further, the invention concerns a method of manufacturing said elastic fibrous material by forming a fiber network, containing an elastic polymer, foaming the fiber network, adding it into one or more layers on a support, followed by curing.
Method of making coextruded, cross-linked polyolefin foam with TPU cap layers
The present disclosure is directed to a physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one foam polypropylene/polyethylene layer with a TPU cap layer. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer with at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
Thermally expandable sheet, production method for thermally expandable sheet, and 2.5D image forming method
A thermally expandable sheet includes: a thermally expansive layer formed on a one surface of a base; a first ink receiving layer that is provided on the thermally expansive layer for receiving ink; a film provided on the first ink receiving layer; and a second ink receiving layer that is provided on the film for receiving ink; wherein the first ink receiving layer is formed of a material that provides a texture a different from a texture of the second ink receiving layer.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING FOOTWEAR STIFFENERS
A microcellular shoe stiffener has at least one adhesive layer coextruded with and carried on a stiffener core. A liquid, such as liquid nitrogen, is introduced into the extruder for the stiffener core to produce a closed cell foam with a gaseous component. The gas reduces the weight and cost of the stiffener with out significantly reducing stiffness and resiliency.
