POLYMER FOAM SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for producing foams for prosthetics and orthotics include a heated housing that stores monomer containers, temperature-controlled hoses separately coupled with the containers and configured to receive monomers from the containers, a dispensing gun assembly fluidly coupled with the containers by the hoses, and a computer controller configured to control a dispensing time period during which the monomers are dispensed from the containers and through the hoses to the dispensing gun assembly and dispensed out of the dispensing gun assembly as a polymer foam. The controller is configured to stop dispensing of the polymer foam out of the dispensing gun assembly upon expiration of the dispensing time period.
Fluid dispensing device
The invention pertains generally to an improved fluid dispensing device, particularly a dispensing device which employs at least one hemispherical domed cannister source of reactants and which uses a color-changing dispensing plastic tip to inform the end-user if the reactants are at a proper use temperature.
A METHOD OF FORMING A BUILDING
There is currently a demand for buildings that can be formed both quickly and economically. These buildings require the addition of heat insulation to walls or roofs because the materials from which they are otherwise formed have insufficient ability to protect against the cold. This can add undesirable expense and slow down production rates. A method is disclosed of forming a building that addresses this problem. The method comprises arranging a door frame, window frame or edge support frame at a mould and spraying a first spray material onto the outside of the mould so that the spray material sets generally in the shape of the mould and substantially embeds the frame. The first material and the frame is removed from the mould and a second different spray material is sprayed onto the first spray material to provide a skin therefor.
FLUID DISPENSERS FOR FLUID PRODUCTS AND DISPENSING SOLUTIONS
A fluid dispenser (10) includes a housing (12) and a valving rod (14). The housing includes an inlet (28) that receives a fluid product, an internal chamber (26) in fluid communication with the inlet, a discharge port (20) in fluid communication with the internal chamber that dispenses fluid from the internal chamber, a dispensing fluid inlet (38) that receives a dispensing fluid, and a dispensing fluid passage system that carries the dispensing fluid to the discharge port. The valving rod is disposed in the housing and moves within the internal chamber between an open position and a closed position. The dispensing fluid passage system includes a first passageway (44) that carries the dispensing fluid in a first direction and a second passageway (48) that carries the dispensing fluid in a second direction. The second passageway has a distal end that dispenses the dispensing fluid proximate the discharge port.
VACUUM INSULATION PANEL APPLICATION DEVICE AND METHOD
Disclosed are a vacuum insulation panel application device and method. The device comprises a conveying platform for conveying a refrigerator housing, a foaming material spray gun head, a vacuum insulation panel taking and placing mechanism and a press-fitting mechanism for pasting a vacuum insulation panel onto the refrigerator housing, wherein the foaming material spray gun head, the vacuum insulation panel taking and placing mechanism and the press-fitting mechanism are sequentially arranged in the moving direction of the conveying platform; the spray gun head is fixedly arranged beside the conveying platform; and the press-fitting mechanism is provided with rollers for rolling the vacuum insulation panel.
Spa shell reinforcement systems and methods
A system and method for reinforcing a spa shell includes a structural support layer on an underside of the spa shell. The structural support layer may include an inner layer of rigidizer, a central foam layer, and an outer layer of rigidizer. The structural support layer may extend from a bottom side of the underside of the spa shell, across at least one sidewall of the underside of the spa shell to a lip of the spa shell, the structural support layer forming at least one rib along the sidewall of the underside of the spa shell.
Foam wall structures and methods for their manufacture
Foam wall structures and methods for making them are described. The wall structures include a frame, a mesh mechanically fastened to a front surface of the frame, a foam panel at least partially abutting and overlying the mesh, and a foam layer disposed in a cavity defined by the frame, the mesh, and the foam panel. Buildings that include such wall structures are also described.
Combined additive manufacturing method applicable to parts and molds
A combined additive manufacturing method applicable to parts and molds relates to moldless-growth manufacturing of parts and molds, which includes steps of: S1: layering and slicing a three-dimensional CAD (computer-aided design) model of a workpiece to be formed according to shape, thickness and dimensional accuracy requirements of the workpiece, so as to obtain a plurality of layered slice data; S2: planning a forming path according to the layered slice data, and generating layered slice numerical control codes for forming; and S3: deposition-forming a powder material on a substrate layer-by-layer and performing pressure forming or milling forming according to the layered slice numerical control codes in the step S2, which uses a numerically controlled high-speed cold spray gun to spray the powder material to a determined position for deposition-forming. The method of the present invention overcomes thermally induced adverse effects of hot processing and drawbacks of cold spray deposition.
Vehicle PU composite component comprising a layered construction having a honeycomb structure
A vehicle PU composite component having a layered construction having a honeycomb structure, the honeycomb structure being reinforced by PU material, and the layered construction or the component being formed from PU material and having at least one component elevation. The component elevation PU material forming the component elevation differs from the honeycomb structure PU material reinforcing the honeycomb structure, and in that the component elevation PU material has a higher foaming degree having lower material density as compared to the honeycomb structure PU material. A method for producing a vehicle PU composite component having a layered construction having a honeycomb structure.
