PASTE-PROCESSED ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE EXPANDED INTO DENSE ARTICLES
Paste-processed ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) polymers, and processes for the formation of dense UHMWPE films from a highly crystalline ultra high molecular weight polyethylene polymer are provided. The UHMWPE films described herein may be manufactured by 1) compressing a dry, porous UHMWPE tape and then stretching above the melt temperature of the UHMWPE polymer; 2) expanding a dry, porous UHMWPE tape above the melt of the UHMWPE polymer without compression; or 3) expanding a dry, porous UHMWPE tape below the melt of the UHMWPE polymer to form a porous membrane and subsequently compressing the porous membrane at temperatures above the melt of the UHMWPE polymer to forma dense film. This dense film may be further stretched biaxially to enhance the properties of the dense film.
Membrane roofing
A foam roofing underlayment is provided with a reinforcement membrane having an array of fastener elements for engaging fastener elements on a flexible roof membrane. The underlayment is formed by molding foam between the reinforcement membrane and a carrier membrane. The underlayment in secured to the roof using washers having fastener elements for engaging the fastener elements of the flexible roof membrane. An anti-peel flap with fastener elements is provided around the periphery of the washers. A slip sheet is used between the underlayment and the flexible roof membrane to permit accurate positioning of the flexible roof membrane prior to engagement of the fastener elements. The interstices between the fastener elements provide lateral moisture paths to vents in the flexible roof membrane.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF PIR/PUIR/PUR FOAM CORED SANDWICH PANELS
The present invention provides a method for the continuous production of a PIR/PUIR/PUR foam cored sandwich panel (12) with metal sheets (16, 18) as facings at top and bottom, wherein the upper metal sheet (16) and the lower metal sheet (18) are continuously fed into a double belt (28), wherein a PIR/PUIR/PUR core material is applied between the upper metal sheet (16) ei and the lower metal sheet (18), wherein an adhesive is applied to the lower metal sheet (18), wherein a portion of the adhesive applied to the lower metal sheet (18) is applied to the upper metal sheet (16) by means of a rotating brush. The present invention further provides an apparatus for the continuous production of a PIR/PUIR/PUR foam cored sandwich panel (12) with metal sheets (16, 18) as facings at top and bottom.
AIR SUPPLY OF APPLICATION DEVICE FOR PRODUCING MULTIPLE COMPONENT MIXTURE
The disclosure relates to an application device for mixing a plurality of components for producing a multicomponent mixture, in particular a polyurethane foam, and for introducing and/or applying the multicomponent mixture into and/or onto an object, in particular a lithium-ion battery, comprising: a mixing tube with a first closed end and a second end for discharging the multicomponent mixture from the mixing tube, wherein the mixing tube comprises a mixing chamber, a plurality of injection units, which are arranged on the mixing tube and are each configured to inject a corresponding one of the plurality of components into the mixing chamber, and a mixer, which is arranged in the mixing space and is configured to mix the injected components with one another along the mixing tube. Furthermore, an application system comprising the application device and a method for mixing a plurality of components for producing a multicomponent mixture and for introducing and/or applying the multicomponent mixture into and/or onto an object is disclosed.

An adjustable distributor apparatus (10) for dispensing a foam forming mixture comprising a main body (20) and adjustment plate, the main body featuring at least one inlet, one channel, and one outlet, the inlet, channel and outlet in fluid connection such that a fluid may pass through the inlet into the channel and exit from the channel through the outlet, and the outlet being coupled with at least one adjustment plate (40), the adjustment plate featuring at least a first face, a second face opposing the first face, and an outlet hole, enabling a seal between either the outlet of the main body or the second face of a second adjustment plate, and the outlet hole extending from the first face to the second face by way of a fluid connection through the adjustment plate.

The application relates to a method and apparatus for producing a solid foam continuously. A homogeneous suspension is formed from a raw material in which the suspension comprises a solidifying agent, and a foam mixture which comprises bubbles is formed by mixing air bubbles into the suspension. The foam mixture is injected via at least one nozzle to form a foam pattern and the foam pattern is laid on a moving surface and the foam mixture of the foam pattern is solidified in order to form a solid foam such that the bubbles of the foam mixture shrink in off-length directions to form the shaped bubbles. Further, the application relates to the product and the use of the method.
