A process of overmolding a frame of a portable eyewear electronic device and a frame produced by the process is presented. A frame that includes a first material and includes a releasably mountable feature is attached to the mold in a desired position and does not contact other areas of the mold. The mold is filled with a second material to at least partially encase the frame insert.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING MOLDABLE MATERIAL TO A PIPE BY INJECTING MOLDABLE MATERIAL FROM A MOVABLE SUPPORT
20170355112 · 2017-12-14 ·

A molding system for applying moldable material to a pipe. An elongate mold has at least one elongate mold member movable relative another elongate mold member between open and closed positions. The mold includes a pipe support that extends generally radially into a mold cavity along a support axis. An inner end of the support is configured to support the pipe in a molding position in which an annular portion of the mold cavity extends circumferentially around the pipe. After moldable material in the annular portion of the mold cavity can support the pipe, the support is withdrawn from the mold cavity by moving outwardly along the support axis. An injector selectively dispenses additional moldable material into a space formed by the support in the existing moldable material.

Golf ball methods and molds for quickly and efficiently eliminating air/gas from within a mold during golf ball manufacture and the improved golf balls resulting therefrom.

Golf Ball Having Dimples With Concentric Or Non-Concentric Grooves
20170312584 · 2017-11-02 · ·

The present invention is directed to golf balls having improved aerodynamic performance due, at least in part, to the alteration of the dimple surfaces. In particular, the present invention relates to a golf ball that includes at least a portion of its dimples having circular perimeters and dimple profiles having a concentric groove or a non-concentric groove on the surface of the dimple. The golf ball dimples of the present invention provide golf ball surfaces having unique appearances, while maintaining ideal aerodynamic characteristics.

Method for manufacturing a lacrosse head pocket

A lacrosse head pocket includes a plug unit having first and second plugs disposed on a cross lace. The plugs are overmolded by first and/or second runners constructed from a polymeric material so that the plugs are joined with the first and/or second runners. The cross lace extends outwardly from the plug and the overmolded first and/or second runners. Some plug units can have cross laces that cross one another, while other plug units might not include cross laces that cross one another. A method is also provided including: forming a first plug on a first cross lace, placing the first plug in a mold, overmolding a first runner over at least a portion of the plug so the plug and first runner are joined, and optionally overmolding a second plug joined with the cross lace with a second runner or the same first runner.

Method for forming golf ball and mold therefor

A method for forming a golf ball provides a core member comprising a core of a golf ball into a cavity of a mold so that the core member is supported by a movable holding pin disposed in the mold; forming a layer outside the core member by injecting a material of the layer into the cavity; and retracting the pin from the cavity into the mold during the material injection so that a portion projecting from a surface of the layer is formed by a tip of the pin, the projecting portion having a site area of at least 0.2% in relation to an entire area of the tip of the pin and having a height of at least 0.2 mm. This method can be implemented by controlling the retraction of the pin, or alternatively by using the pin having a predetermined indentation portion on the tip.

MOLDING METHOD AND MOLDING SYSTEM

A molding method integrally molds thermoplastic resin and a flexible substrate mounted with a circuit and an electronic component on a flat plate having flexibility into a three-dimensional shape. The molding method includes the steps of determining an unfolded shape and circuit arrangement of the flexible substrate corresponding to the three-dimensional shape, elastically deforming and holding the flexible substrate along a resin filling space of a mold while the mold is being opened, and closing the mold and filling the resin filling space with thermoplastic resin.

HUMANIZED HEAVY HAMMER STRUCTURE
20220268374 · 2022-08-25 · ·

The present invention discloses a humanized heavy hammer structure, comprising a plastic body, a configuration metal block and a fixed block, wherein the plastic body is provided with a swing arm, an accommodating part and a U-shaped accommodating space, the configuration metal block and the fixed block are sequentially arranged in the U-shaped accommodating space, the accommodating part is an-armed along; the outer periphery of the plastic body, the swing arm can swing around the plastic body, and when closed, the swing arm and the accommodating part are mutually buckled, the configuration metal block is completely covered between the plastic body and the fixed block, and the configuration metal block is provided with a U-shaped notch, the fixed block is arranged in the U-shaped notch and connected with the configuration metal block, and a hose is provided in the middle of the fixed block. The present invention through the structural design of the fixed block and the counterweight metal block can effectively solve the problem that the counterweight metal of the product produced during the injection molding process is exposed outside; and the whole heavy hammer structure can be more conveniently mounted and dismounted in an integrated U-shaped design mode of the heavy hammer structure.

MOLDING MOLD FOR COMPOSITE BODY
20220234265 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A molding mold for a composite body 1 for forming a composite body A that integrally molds a resin member R on one main surface of a metal panel P1, including at least a fixed mold 2 and a movable mold 3, and including, in a mold on the resin member side among the fixed mold 2 and the movable mold 3, a panel fixing mechanism 4 that fixes an edge portion of the metal panel P1 in a state in which the fixed mold 2 and the movable mold are open. The molding mold for a composite body 1 eliminates a movable body with respect to a molding space of the resin member R and overcomes the generation of burr in the resin member R, and forms an exposed metal portion B on the edge portion of the metal panel P1 on the resin member R side by the panel fixing mechanism 4.
