The flagstick includes a ferrule attached to a lower end which is adapted for placement into a putting cup and a tip fitting attached to an upper end which is adapted to be combined with a flag. The ferrule and/or tip fitting may be combined with the rigid support member before the injection molding process resulting in the ferrule and/or tip fitting being at least partially filled with and/or encapsulated by the material to help hold the components together without requiring a secondary attachment operation.
