In-mold carpet lamination
A process for fabricating a molded carpet laminate includes supporting a carpet layer in a molding tool that has mold dies that define a mold cavity. The mold dies are then moved from an open position to a partially closed position. In the partially closed position, a heated polymer material is injected into the mold cavity. The heated polymer material incompletely fills the mold cavity on the working side of the carpet layer. The mold dies are then moved from the partially closed position to a closed position to spread the heated polymer material and fill the mold cavity on the working side of the carpet layer to form a molded polymer wall. The molded polymer wall adheres to the working side of the carpet layer to form a molded carpet laminate. The mold dies are then moved from the closed position and the molded carpet laminate is cooled.
Process for maintaining registration of an array through use of a carrier in process flow
A sheet with registration holes cut in it is mounted to a surface of a pallet so that its registration holes are held taught by the outer diameter of bushings while an inner diameter pin shaft of the bushings is used by registration pins during multiple manufacturing process to provide registration of the sheet.
Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture
A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The pocket can include a perimeter flange constructed from special materials and/or a perimeter flange including intermittent voids along an outer edge so that the perimeter flange stretches when the pocket is in a loaded state with the lacrosse ball therein, thereby providing dampening to the pocket when a lacrosse ball exerts force upon the pocket in the loaded state.
Method for manufacturing resin gear with core metal
The present invention is intended to provide a method for manufacturing a resin gear with a core metal by which there is no reduction in strength even with gates allowing decrease in material costs such as pin gates in the molding die for injection molding. The manufacturing method includes: gates at a primary molding step and gates at a secondary molding step are pin gates or the like. The number of the gates at the primary molding step and the number of the gates at the secondary molding step are plural and identical, and the gates are arranged circumferentially. Gate positions G21, . . . at the secondary molding step are circumferentially intermediate or nearly circumferentially intermediate between gate positions G11, . . . and weld positions W11, . . . adjacent to the gate positions G11, . . . in the primary molded article.
TRANSMISSION GEAR AND DECELERATION MECHANISM COMPRISING THE SAME
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a transmission gear and a deceleration mechanism including the same. The transmission gear includes a metal ring; and a plastic gear member integral with the metal ring by injection molding, the metal ring is coaxially wrapped in the plastic gear member and provided with a locating portion for locating the metal ring in an injection mold, the plastic gear member having an outer circumference that is tooth-shaped, and the plastic gear member being formed with an input hole thereon through which an input shaft passes, an outer ring surface of the metal ring being adjacent to the outer circumference, and an inner ring surface of the metal ring having a diameter greater than or equal to that of the input hole. Since almost no shrinkage occurs to the plastic gear member during injection molding, such a transmission gear has good dimensional accuracy, strength and rigidity.
Method of manufacturing composite molded body
A method of manufacturing a composite molded body includes a first step of introducing an FRP base material into a mold via a slit part provided in the mold, and inserting the FRP base material along a mold cavity; and a second step of injecting a molten thermoplastic resin composition A into the mold cavity to form the FRP base material into a three-dimensional shape and integrate the injected thermoplastic resin composition A and the FRP base material. The method makes it possible to easily and accurately mold a composite molded body of which a desired portion is efficiently and accurately reinforced in the same mold.
INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS, RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
An injection molding apparatus is equipped with a first mold and a second mold. The first mold or the second mold includes sliding members that are inserted into holes formed in a workpiece. The sliding members are capable of being displaced in a direction to approach toward or separate away from a cavity formed by the first mold and the second mold.
INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE
An injection molding apparatus is equipped with a first mold and a second mold. One of the first mold and the second mold is provided with a protrusion protruding toward the other of the molds. A retaining section is defined by the protrusion. A workpiece is retained in the retaining section. Moreover, the first mold is provided with injection members for injecting a molten resin into a cavity.
RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A resin molded article is equipped with a laminated body in which a core material layer, a cushion layer, and a skin layer are included and laminated. In this configuration, a lowermost layer and a peripheral edge portion of the laminated body are covered by a resin covering layer, and only the upper surface of the skin layer is exposed and serves as a design surface. Moreover, the peripheral edge portion of the laminated body is embedded in an interior part of the resin covering layer.
Fine bubble diffuser assembly
A diffuser assembly includes a flexible diffuser membrane and a diffuser body. The flexible diffuser membrane defines a circumferential bead. The diffuser body defines a circular plate underlying the flexible diffuser membrane, and an edge ring covering a covered portion of the circumferential bead. The edge ring defines an inside surface that conforms to an outside shape of the covered portion of the circumferential bead. The edge ring is integral to the diffuser body. Such a diffuser assembly may provide a disposable diffuser assembly option with many advantages over conventional technologies such as improved ease of installation, lower weight, and lower cost.
