SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING MOLDED ARTICLES
A system and method for automating the making of molded articles formed from a substrate and a fabric material, wherein the fabric material is positioned over a mold surface and a substrate material is injected between the fabric material and the mold surface such that the substrate material hardens and bonds with the fabric material forming the molded article.
LIFTGATE REINFORCEMENT ARRANGMENTS
A liftgate structure having a structural inner panel with an outside surface and an inner surface having a lower perimeter surface area extending across substantially the entire width of the structural inner panel. The structural inner panel includes a wiper motor housing recess formed on the inner surface. A plurality of brackets are connected to the outside surface of the structural inner panel, where each of the brackets has at least one friendly hole. The liftgate structure further includes a tether having 2 ends each having at least one over molded retainer for connecting the tether to a wiper motor housing positioned within the wiper motor housing recess of the structural inner panel. Additionally the tether is positioned through each of the at least one friendly holes of the plurality of brackets.
Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture
A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.
MOULD FOR MAKING A TEMPORARY PROSTHETIC COMPONENT FOR A KNEE
Described is a mould (1) for making a temporary prosthetic component for a knee in an operating room comprising: a first half-mould (10); a second half-mould (20) which can be coupled to the first half-mould (10) for forming a moulding chamber (C) for a temporary prosthetic component made of medical cement; and elements (30) for fixing the first half-mould (10) to the second half-mould (20).
Each fixing element (30) has a rod (31) configured for connecting the first half-mould (10) to the second half-mould (20) and defining a weakness neck (32) configured to allow a facilitated breakage of the rod (31).
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE CARD KEY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING VEHICLE CARD KEY USING THE SAME
An apparatus for manufacturing a vehicle card key includes: an upper mold which is disposed on a printed circuit board (PCB) substrate of a vehicle card key; a lower mold which is fixed to a lower portion of the PCB substrate; a keyhole slide which is disposed between one end of the upper mold and the lower mold and forms a keyhole; a battery hole slide which is disposed between the other end of the upper mold and the lower mold and forms a battery hole; a first angular pin which passes through the one end of the upper mold and one end of the keyhole slide and the lower mold; and a second angular pin which passes through the other end of the upper mold and the other end of the battery hole slide and the lower mold.
System And Method For Molding RFID Tags
An example method for making a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag according to the present disclosure includes holding a transponder within a cavity of a mold using a fixture, closing the mold, injecting material into the mold cavity and around the transponder to form a part of the RFID tag, opening the mold, and ejecting the part from the mold.
METHOD OF FORMING AT LEAST ONE CHANNEL WITHIN A SUBSTRATE AND A SYSTEM
A method of forming at least one channel within a substrate includes coupling a fitting to a mold, and securing together the fitting and an insert via threads. A system includes a mold configured to form the substrate. The method also includes inserting a component into an opening of the fitting. Part of the component is disposed outside of the opening of the fitting, and the component is utilized to define the at least one channel within the substrate. The method further includes molding at least one material to the component and the insert to form the substrate. Furthermore, the method includes removing the fitting from the insert while the insert remains molded to the substrate.
Pillar garnish manufacturing method
A main body portion is disposed at a regular position by inserting a protrusion into an engaging portion formed in a leg portion of the main body portion in accordance with a forward movement of a sliding mold including the protrusion. Then, an injection molding mold is completely closed to cause at least a part of a mold surface of the sliding mold to come into contact with the main body portion.
Vehicle interior component
A component for a vehicle interior is disclosed. The component may comprise a structural substrate comprising a fiber panel with at least one hole and a resin-formed structure; and a cover coupled to the fiber panel or the resin-formed structure. The fiber panel may be formed into a compression-formed component; the resin-formed structure may comprise a molded feature formed in the hole of the fiber panel. The resin-formed structure may reinforce the structural substrate. The fiber panel and the resin-formed structure may provide a substantially continuous structure. The resin-formed structure may extend along a surface of the fiber panel to form the resin-formed structure to the fiber panel. The cover may be applied to the fiber panel during compression molding. The component may comprise a trim panel, instrument panel, door panel, or other interior trim part. A method of manufacturing a vehicle trim component is also disclosed.
