METHOD OF FORMING A COMPOSITE ARTICLE
A method of forming a composite article including a first portion comprising a cured elastomer and presenting an engagement surface, and a second portion comprising a thermoplastic composition and presenting a locking surface is disclosed. The method comprises the step of forming a plurality of engagement voids in the engagement surface of the first portion. Each engagement void penetrates into the engagement surface of the first portion and is defined by a side wall which forms an acute angle with the engagement surface. The method also includes the step of applying the thermoplastic composition onto the engagement surface of the first portion to form the second portion such that the locking surface abuts the engagement surface and defines a plurality of locking protrusions disposed in the plurality of engagement voids of the first portion.
Decorative Housing and Manufacturing Device for Same
A housing included in a home appliance and used as a decorative housing is shaped like an inverted tray and includes a figure layer, a non-woven cloth layer bonded to the figure layer via a bonding resin layer, and a substrate resin layer fixed to the figure layer while infiltrating gaps between fibers in the non-woven cloth layer. A predetermined cutout pattern is formed on a colored coating film applied to a front surface of the non-woven cloth layer.
Method for manufacturing an arrangement comprising a housing part and at least two conductor paths
A method of manufacturing an assembly with a housing part and at least two conductors of shape sheet metal parts may include providing at least one first conductor formed from at least one sheet metal part and at least one second conductor formed from at least one sheet metal part. The method may then include arranging the first and second conductors in an injection mold in such a way that the first conductor may come into mechanical contact with the second conductor in a common contact zone to produce an electrical connection. The method may then include at least partially overmolding the first and second conductors with a plastic to form a joint housing part. The method may further include bonding the first and second conductors in a region of the common contact zone after at least partially overmolding the first and second conductors.
HOLLOW PROFILE COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY
Systems and processes produce a plastic-metal composite component composed of at least one hollow profile and at least one fluid to be used in an interior of the at least one hollow profile.
HOLLOW PROFILE COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY
A process for producing a plastic-metal composite component composed of at least one hollow profile and at least one application of plastic to be applied to the outside by means of injection molding or compression.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MOLDED ARTICLE, MOLDED ARTICLE, BAND AND TIMEPIECE
A manufacturing method of a molded article, including a first step of arranging a primary molded article made of a soft material in a molding die such that an outer peripheral surface of an exposed section of the primary molded article which is exposed to an outside without being embedded in a secondary molded article corresponds to an inner peripheral surface of the molding die, a second step of pressing and deforming an outer peripheral portion of the primary molded article arranged in the molding die by a pressing section so as to bring the outer peripheral surface of the exposed section into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the molding die, and a third step of molding the secondary molded article by withdrawing the pressing section from inside the molding die while injecting resin to be the secondary molded article into the molding die.
Method for manufacturing decorative molded article
A film in which a decorative design layer is formed on a base film is positioned and locked relative to a cavity mold while the mold is open. A pressing portion includes a tip portion made of a soft material. The tip portion pushes the film toward the cavity mold and presses the film against a portion of the molding surface. In this state, vacuum suction causes the film to stick to the molding surface. After that, an article body is molded by injecting molten plastic into the cavity while the mold is clamped. The obtained decorative molded article includes the decorative design layer that decorates the design surface of the article body by causing the decorative design layer of the film to stick to the design surface of the article body.
CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE, ELECTRONIC LIGHT CONTROL LENS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CURVED SURFACE RESIN STRUCTURE
A curved surface resin structure includes a support, and a laminate section within a plane of the support, where at least a conductive layer and an electronic material layer are laminated in the laminate section. A surface curvature radius rA1 (mm) of end of the laminate section, a surface curvature radius rA2 (mm) of another end of the laminate section facing the one end with a center region of the laminate section present at a middle point, and an average curvature a radius rB (mm) of a surface of the laminate section satisfy Inequality (1): rA1, rA2<rB, or Inequality (2): rA1, rA2>rB.
Method and apparatus for non-woven trim panels
A method of forming a trim panel is provided. The method includes the steps of: heating a non-woven material to a predetermined temperature; applying a decorative film having perforations to a first surface of the heated material to create a bilaminate; placing the bilaminate layer into a cavity of a tool such that the decorative film is facing the cavity; heating the cavity; and injecting a thermoplastic resin into the tool such that the thermoplastic resin is adhered to a second surface of the material, the second surface being opposite to the first surface.
MOLDING APPARATUS AND MOLDING METHOD FOR OVERMOLDING A SHEET
A molding apparatus and a molding method for molding a part including an overmolded sheet, the molding apparatus including a mold including a first mold tool and a second mold tool configured to face each other and to move in relation to each other so as to define a gap between them for molding therein a part including an overmolded sheet, and at least one preforming element, distinct from the second mold tool, having a shape, or being configured to take a shape, complementary to that of a portion of the first mold tool, and configured to preform the sheet onto the portion of the first mold tool.
