OUTER CYLINDER FOR HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER AND METHOD OF MOLDING THE OUTER CYLINDER FOR THE HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBER
20200094455 · 2020-03-26 · ·

Providing an outer cylinder for a hydraulic shock absorber, having excellent productivity and a method of molding the outer cylinder for the hydraulic shock absorber. The outer cylinder for the hydraulic shock absorber includes an intermediate body and an outer case body. The intermediate body is formed by weaving (textile-processing) a continuous reinforcement fiber into a cylindrical shape. The outer case body is molded from a polyamide resin that is a thermoplastic resin that forms irregularities on an outside of the intermediate body while being impregnated into the intermediate body. The textile-processing is a process of braiding, weaving or knitting fibers to produce a flat or tubular fabric, cord or the like.

THERMOFORMING COMPRESSION-BACK INJECTION MOLDING HEADLINERS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME

A method of producing a headliner with a unitary body includes the steps of thermoforming a blank into a headliner substrate, simultaneously injection molding a secondary component onto the headliner substrate and laminating a surface covering to the headliner substrate.

Modular molding

A tubing including an overmold is connected to a fitting by welding the overmold to the fitting. Methods for doing the same are also provided. Also provided are methods for forming an overmold on a tubing or on a tubing and fitting assembly.

VEHICLE INTERIOR BOARD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
20200023560 · 2020-01-23 · ·

A vehicle interior board which has less deterioration and peeling near an end portion of a metal plate, has high quality, is thin, lightweight, and has high strength and excellent productivity. The vehicle interior board includes a pair of metal plates and a foamed polyurethane layer formed between the pair of metal plates. At the peripheral edge portion of the vehicle interior board, the foamed polyurethane layer covers peripheral end portions of the metal plates and is formed flush with outer surfaces of the metal plates. This makes it possible to suppress oxidation of the peripheral end portions which are cutting surfaces of the metal plates. Further, bonding is good between the metal plates and the foamed polyurethane layer. Further, it is possible to prevent peeling of the metal plates, chipping of the foamed polyurethane layer, and the like. Furthermore, it is easy to demold a vehicle interior board.

Method of Making a Vehicle Interior Component Having an Integral Airbag Component

A method of making a vehicle interior component having an integral airbag component is provided. The method includes disposing a polymeric composite sheet having inner and outer surfaces onto a first surface of a mold at a molding station and compressing the sheet between the first surface and a second surface of the mold at the molding station. The method also includes injecting a molten polymer compatible with the polymeric material of the composite sheet into the mold cavity in accordance with a predetermined set of process parameters which are high enough to integrally form at least one airbag component via polymeric interfusion at the inner surface of the composite sheet but are low enough to reduce surface defects on the outer surface of the composite sheet.

Method of Making a Vehicle Interior Component Having an Integral Airbag Component and a Fibrous Decorative Covering

A method of making a vehicle interior component having an integral airbag component and a fibrous decorative covering is provided. The method includes providing a polymeric composite sheet and a fibrous decorative covering overlying an outer surface of the composite sheet. The composite sheet is pressed against the covering after the steps of providing to bond the covering to the composite sheet. A molten polymer compatible with the polymeric material of the composite sheet is injected into a mold cavity in accordance with a predetermined set of process parameters which are high enough to integrally form at least one airbag component via polymeric interfusion at the inner surface of the composite sheet but low enough to avoid damaging the covering.

Method for homogenous thermoplastic seat back assembly

A seat back assembly that includes a composite seat back cover. The composite seat back cover includes at least one composite layer, that includes a layer of reinforcing fibers and a thermoplastic layer surrounding the reinforcing fibers. The thermoplastic layer is coextensive with the layer of reinforcing fibers. In various embodiments, the seat back includes a seat back frame. The seat back frame includes a side rail, a top rail main section, and a top rail cap. The side rail, the top rail main section, and the top rail cap are fused to each other by a homogenous chemical bond. A homogenous chemical bond is formed between the seat back cover and the seat back frame creating a unitary seat back assembly.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MODEL CAR BODY

The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a model car body, including preparing a steel mold comprising a core plate with an inner core, a top plate and at least two side plates; attaching at least one pre-fabricated plastic block to a side of the inner core of the core plate; combining the core plate, the top plate and the at least two side plates with each other, wherein a cavity is formed among the top plate, the side plates, the inner core of the core plate and the at least one pre-fabricated plastic block; injecting melted plastic material into the cavity, wherein the melted plastic material is filled with the cavity and the at least one pre-fabricated plastic block is encased by the melted plastic material; solidifying the melted plastic so as to form the model car body, wherein the at least one pre-fabricated plastic block is integrated with the plastic model car body; separating the core plate, the top plate and the at least two side plates from each other; and releasing the model car body with the at least one pre-fabricated plastic block from the mold.
