POLYMERIC GOLF CLUB HEAD WITH METALLIC FACE
A golf club head includes a club face and a body. The club face is formed from a metallic material and includes a first, hitting surface, a second, rear surface that is opposite the first surface, and a flange that is separated from the second surface by a transverse distance. The body is formed from a polymeric material and includes a crown, a sole, a hosel, and a face support. The club face and the body cooperate to define a closed volume, and the face support extends to opposing sides of the flange and is operative to couple the club face to the body.
Insert-molded article and method for producing the same
A metal component has a shape including a flat plate-shaped part, and the flat plate-shaped part has a through-hole formed therein. A resin component has a shape including a covering part that covers a surface of the flat plate-shaped part, and the covering part has a surface in which a gate mark is present. The through-hole formed in the flat plate-shaped part of the metal component is located opposite to the gate mark. The resin component has a filler part with which the through-hole is filled.
BOARD AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A board includes fibers and thermoplastic resin and has a first surface and a second surface that is opposite from the first surface. The board includes a flat body member having edges, a bent portion, a hole, and a filling portion that is made of thermoplastic resin and in the hole. The bent portion extends from one of the edges of the flat body member and includes an edge of the board. The bent portion includes an angled portion that extends along the one of the edges of the flat body member and the bent portion extends from the angled portion at an inclination angle with respect to the flat body member such that the first surface of the angled portion is stretched. The hole is in the first surface of the angled portion.
CONNECTING ELEMENT, COMPONENT OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPONENT FROM A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A connecting element is configured to position a stabilizing member during the production of a component from a composite material, the connecting element having openings into which a melt composition in a molten state can flow, and the connecting element having at least one positioning device configured to position the stabilizing member on the connecting element. A component of a composite material has a cohesive, hardened melt composition, the connecting element described above, and at least one stabilizing member, the connecting element and the at least one stabilizing member being embedded in the melt composition, the melt composition reaching into the connecting element through the openings of the connecting element, and the at least one stabilizing member being positioned on the at least one positioning device of the connecting element.
INJECTION MOLDED COMPOSITE BLANK AND GUIDE
This specification discloses an article of manufacture. The article of manufacture has at least one structural blank and at least one guide. The structural blank has a plurality of oriented fiber plies in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide has a plurality of random dispersed fibers in a thermoplastic matrix. The guide is affixed to the structural blank by injection molding and over molding the guide onto the structural blank. The article of manufacture can take a number of forms for use in industries such as aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, trains or watercraft.
Reel based closure system employing a friction based tension mechanism
A reel based tensioning device includes a housing, a spool that is rotatably positioned within the housing, and a knob member that is operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate in a first direction within the housing and thereby wind a tension member about the spool. The reel based tensioning device also includes a load holding mechanism that is coupled with the spool and that is configured to rotate the spool in the first direction within the housing and to prevent rotation of the spool in a second direction to prevent unwinding of the tension member from about the spool. The reel based tensioning device further includes an audible component that is configured to produce an audible noise responsive to operation of the knob member to signal an adjustment of the tension member.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE MEMBER OF METALLIC STRUCTURE AND NON-METALLIC STRUCTURE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A method for manufacturing an electronic device, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the operations of: inserting and injecting a polymeric material into a structure, which is a plate-shaped metal structure comprising a first surface and a second surface, the structure comprising: at least one opening penetrating the first surface and the second surface; and at least one recess having a first depth from the first surface and extending to have a repeating pattern selected from among a W-shape, a sawtooth shape, and a straight line shape, when viewed from above the first surface; and confirming that the recess is filled with the polymeric material.
