A method for producing a laminated glass with a resin frame includes a disposing step of disposing a laminated glass inside a shaping mold in which a cavity into which a resin material for a resin frame is injected is formed, an injection step of injecting the resin material into the cavity from a first surface side of the laminated glass or an end face side of the laminated glass, a blocking step of blocking a flow of the resin material in at least a part of a peripheral portion of the laminated glass to prevent the resin material from reaching an outer peripheral region on a second surface opposite to the first surface, and an opposing force applying step of applying an opposing force from an opposing force applying position on the second surface and inside of the outer peripheral region of the laminated glass.

Encapsulated glass frame assemblies and associated methods for forming same

An encapsulated glass assembly includes a plastic frame having at least three sides and corners, with the frame having a channel extending within its outer frame surface that includes a lower wall portion connected to a side wall portion. The outer frame surface further includes at least one upper wall portion extending from the side wall portion and extending along at least one side of the frame, each one of the at least one upper wall portions further defining a portion of the channel as a C-shaped channel. A glass panel coupled to the frame is retained within the C-shaped channel along at least one side of the frame such that the edge of the panel is adjacent to the side wall portion. An encapsulant having a Shore hardness less than the frame is bonded onto the panel and onto the frame to secure the panel to the frame.

A tool (1000) includes a mold defining a cavity (1002). The cavity can be for receiving a glass layer (402). A floating core insert (1001) can be placed in the cavity to apply a preloading force against a first major face of the glass layer, preclude an overmolding operation on the first major face, and allow overmolding only on minor faces of the glass layer when polymeric material (1100) is injected into runners (1018,1019,1020) of the tool.

SEALING SYSTEM FOR MOVABLE WINDOW OF VEHICULAR REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY

A method of manufacturing a vehicular slider window assembly includes providing at least one fixed window panel, attaching upper and lower rails at the fixed window panel, and movably disposing a movable window panel at the upper and lower rails. Elongated sealing portions are formed by forming base portions of the respective elongated sealing portions via a first shot injection molding process using a polypropylene material, and by forming elongated sealing lips along the respective base portions via a second shot injection molding process using a thermoplastic elastomer. The elongated sealing portions are joined at adjacent ends to form a perimeter seal. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at a surface of fixed window panel so as to circumscribe the opening and to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in the closed position.

METHOD FOR APPLYING A SEAL TO A PLATE

A method for applying a seal onto a plate, including, providing a tool containing at least one support element made of solid material including a recess, a support element made of flexible material including a first part and a second part where said support element made of flexible material is arranged at least partially in said recess, and a means for exerting a pressure in a compensation chamber of said recess, where said compensation chamber is delimited at least partially by said second part of said support element made of flexible material.
