Animal feeder control and data distribution

The invention provides an animal feeder augmentation apparatus, system and method of operation thereof. The apparatus provides for the controlled dispensing of animal feed from an animal feeder including a controller coupled to an actuator, where the controller provides power access from a battery to at least two communication modules, namely a low-power communications module and at least a first higher-power communications module. The low-power communication module includes a low-energy radio for substantially continuous operation when the animal feeder is being used. The first higher-power communications module includes a cellular telecommunications device for operation when the animal feeder needs to send or receive data outside of the range of the low-power communications module. The controller is coupled to the low-power communications module, and to the first higher-power communications module.

Modular tracking device

Techniques and examples pertaining to a tracking method using a two-component tracking device are described. The tracking device includes two components paired with one another: a first component that is specific to a subject the tracking device is intended to track, and a second component that is generic. The second component is capable of establishing a wireless connection with a cellular network, as well as collecting location information of the second component itself. The tracking method involves receiving from the cellular network a set of requirements associated with the subject, and triggering an action based on the set of requirements and the location information collected. The tracking method enables tracking of multiple subjects without a pairing mistake. Namely, a mismatch between multiple subjects to be tracked and multiple tracking devices intended to track the subjects can be avoided.

A game feeder especially suited to feeding whole vegetable roots and fruits. The game feeder includes: (a) a hopper having a first aperture at the bottom thereof, a second aperture 5 on one side thereof and a mouth at the top thereof; (b) a closure to close the mouth of the hopper; (c) a chute attached to or integral with the hopper, the chute having a receiving aperture aligned with the second aperture of the hopper, the chute having a discharge aperture at the bottom of the chute: (d) a conveyor belt positioned below the first aperture of the hopper so that when game feed is placed in the hopper and the conveyor belt is moved toward the second aperture. the game feed is conveyed to the chute so that the game feed can fall through the chute from the discharge aperture at the bottom of the chute. In an alternative embodiment, a swinging door located at the second aperture of the hopper is used in place of the chute.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING EATING PATTERNS OF A PET

A computer-implemented method for using historical pet eating data to determine changes in pet eating behavior is disclosed. The method includes receiving a plurality of historical pet eating data records from a database, determining a subset of the plurality of historical pet eating data records, determining an expected distribution based on the subset of the plurality of historical pet eating data records wherein the expected distribution includes a baseline, an upper threshold, and a lower threshold, receiving current pet data from a pet sensor wherein the current pet data includes a total meal event value, analyzing whether the total meal event value exceeds the upper threshold or the lower threshold, and outputting a notification indicating a result that is responsive to the analyzing.

Bulk pet food dispenser

A system for bulk pet food dispersing. The system has one or more scales, and for each scale a pulley system and a pair of rails which can be used to lift a bulk bag of pet food into place above the scale and a gravity-fed dispenser, which can include a dispenser control. The bulk bag of pet food can attach to the pulley system using hooks, eyelets, knots, chains, etc., then raised into place using a crank which moves the pulley system. Users can then disperse the pet food from the raised bulk bag into their own bag using a dispenser control, such as a handle or lever.
