FEEDING STATION FOR FARM ANIMALS, IN PARTICULAR FOR PIGS

A feeding station for farm animals (45), as in particular for pigs, provided with a first reservoir (3) for a first animal food component, a first conveyor pipe (15) connected to the first reservoir (3), with a first conveyor screw (17) extending internally of the first conveyor pipe (15), and a mouthpiece (7) for reception in the mouth of an animal (45). A first end of the first conveyor screw (17) is coupled adjacent to the first reservoir (3) to a rotatable first drive (21) and a second end of the first conveyor screw (17) ends shortly before the mouthpiece (7). The feeding station (1) is further provided with at least a second reservoir (5) for a second animal food component, a second conveyor pipe (16) connected to the second reservoir with a second conveyor screw (19) extending internally of the second conveyor pipe (16). A first end of the second conveyor screw (19) is coupled adjacent to the second reservoir (5) to a second drive (23) which is rotatable independently of the first drive (21). The second conveyor pipe (16) is joined together with the first conveyor pipe (15) adjacent to a second end of the second conveyor screw (19). The first and second drives (21, 23) are operable by a control unit (33) in accordance with a desired mixing ratio of the first and second animal food components.

BARN CONTROL SYSTEM

A barn control system includes a building having at least one door with a lock. Disposed within the building are a plurality of pens with each pen having one or more feed bins, a feed line, a feed motor and a feed pan. A plurality of sensors and activation devices are disposed within the building and are connected to a computer. Based upon sensed information, the computer transmits information to open and close the door, monitor and control feed consumption and ordering, and provide a bio security system.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING GOODS

An autonomous vehicle for transporting and delivering livestock feed to a feed bunk in a feedlot without human intervention. The vehicle includes a chassis having a translation assembly for moving the vehicle across a surface, a delivery box operably engaged with the chassis and defining a chamber for carrying the feed. A load-dispensing assembly and a load-advancement mechanism are provided on the delivery box. Actuating the load-advancement mechanism moves the livestock feed toward the load-dispensing assembly. A control assembly is provided with programming configured to autonomously control movement of the vehicle along a predetermined pathway in the feedlot, autonomously control the load-advancement mechanism and load-dispensing assembly to deliver feed from the delivery box into a feed bunk at a preset location along the pathway, and/or control the ground speed of the vehicle so that an exact weight of feed is delivered per linear foot traveled by the vehicle.

Automated method and system for feeding animals

A feeding station for at least one animal, said feeding station comprising: at least one supply hopper having a food product; a food dispensing unit having means for dispensing controlled portions of said food product; a weigh hopper for receiving said food product from said food dispensing unit; a hemi-circular disc-shaped feeding platform for receiving said food product from said weigh hopper; a hemi-frustoconical sweeping member rotatable on a top surface of said hemi-circular disc-shaped feeding platform to remove unconsumed food product off said feeding platform after a feeding event.

Automatically detachable collar pendant system

The automatically detachable collar pendant system is structured so that when the system receives a signal, one end of the collar is released from the rest of the collar body, thereby unfastening the collar and allowing the collar to fall off of a target animal. The “signal” may comprise a magnetic or induction heat signal. In the preferred embodiment, the signal is received (and the collar is unfastened) when the target animal feeds at a specially-equipped bait station.
