The method may improve the bonding performance of the sandwich panel, thereby improving the degree of freedom of shape due to the press-molding.

The method may include locating overlapped tensile fabric and elastomer layers in a tool and introducing polymer-based material into the tool such that polymer-based material portions overlap respective opposite ends of the fabric and elastomer layers. The polymer-based material portions are formed to a desired shape using the forming tool so that the fabric and elastomer layers form a live hinge between the polymer-based material portions.

The display panel has a shape that changes to a first shape to match a second shape of the surface of the aircraft structure. The method also injects a resin into the cavity while the force is applied, and cures the resin in the cavity while the force is applied to form a cured resin. The cured resin holds the display panel in the first shape and attaches the display panel to the surface of the aircraft structure.

It is preferred that the connection part be constituted of an end part of any one substrate of the two substrates. More specifically, there can be adopted an embodiment in which one substrate is a plate-like substrate including reinforcing fibers and a first thermoplastic resin binding the reinforcing fibers to each other and the other substrate is an injection-molded member connected in the plate face direction of the one substrate, wherein the thermal shrinkage of the other substrate is large as compared to the thermal shrinkage of the one substrate. Moreover, the connection part can be formed by adjusting the filling density of reinforcing fibers in an end part of the one substrate to be lower than the filling density of reinforcing fibers in the base part of the one substrate.
