FOOD CONTAINERS WITH CAVITIES
Food container including: an external container composed of a material comprising a first plastic material, an internal container composed of a material comprising a second plastic material, said internal container being arranged inside the external container and being welded to the external container so as to form a sealing cavity between the internal container and the external container, said cavity including gas, characterized in that at least a portion of said internal container is resilient and configured to deform under expansion of the gas contained inside the cavity.
Medical leads with segmented electrodes and methods of fabrication thereof
In one embodiment, a neurostimulation lead comprises: a lead body comprising a plurality of conductor wires; and a molded stimulation tip end comprising a plurality of segmented electrodes, hypotubes, and an annular frame structure: wherein (i) each segmented electrode of the plurality of segmented electrodes has an inner surface, an outer surface, and step-down region embedded within polymer material of the molded stimulation tip end, (ii) each respective hypotube is directly welded to the inner surface of a corresponding segmented electrode of the plurality of segmented electrodes.
Pressure vessel and method for the production of such a vessel
A pressure vessel having a hollow body wound with a continuous filament, whereby the filament is embedded in a thermoplastic matrix, is provided, as well as a method for producing such a vessel. The method involves: (i) wrapping a hollow body with at least one continuous filament; (ii) impregnating the filament winding with a polymerizable mixture, whereby the wound body is inside a mold that surrounds the wound body; and (iii) polymerizing the polymerizable mixture in order to form a plastic matrix that embeds the filament winding.
MOLDED RESIN ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A molded resin article and a method of manufacturing a molded resin article that suppresses generation of portions of reduced bonding strength while suppressing separation at the interface between a bond portion (secondary molding resin) on the one hand and a first body and a second body on the other. The molded resin article has a first contact surface formed perpendicular to the main surface of the first body and contacting the second body, a second contact surface formed perpendicular to the main surface of the second body and contacting the first body, and a bond portion bonding together the first body and the second body, formed by injecting molten resin into a resin channel formed by contacting the first contact surface against the second body and contacting the second contact surface against the first body and solidifying the molten resin.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOLLOW ARTICLE
A method includes a first molding process and a second molding process performed repeatedly. The first molding process includes injecting resin into a first pair of molds, in which a first pair of divided pieces is formed and which is fitted together without an inner mold, to couple the first pair of divided pieces to form a first hollow article at an injection station. The second molding process includes (i) injecting resin into a third pair of molds, which is fitted together with one inner mold interposed therebetween, to mold a third pair of divided pieces at the injection station, (ii) taking out the first hollow article from the first pair of molds at a removing station, and (iii) removing another inner mold from a second pair of molds while leaving a second pair of divided pieces between the second pair of molds at the setup station.
Medical leads with segmented electrodes and methods of fabrication thereof
In one embodiment, a method for fabricating a neurostimulation stimulation lead comprises: providing a plurality of ring components and hypotubes in a mold; placing an annular frame with multiple lumens over distal ends of the plurality of hypotubes to position a portion of each hypotube within a respective lumen of the annular frame; molding the plurality of ring components and the hypotubes to form a stimulation tip component for the stimulation lead, wherein the molding fills interstitial spaces between the plurality of ring components and hypotubes with insulative material; and forming segmented electrodes from the ring components after performing the molding.
Goggle strap retention system
Goggles are described as including an outrigger, an elastic band, and one or more cages. The elastic band is coupled to the cage, which may then be disposed within an opening of the outrigger. Thus, the elastic band may be coupled to the outrigger and, accordingly, to the goggle frame, through cage. Such a configuration may allow for the elastic band to have a stronger and more compact coupling to the outrigger and/or goggle frame. The cage may comprise metal or another material stronger than the material of the goggle frame and/or the outrigger. Furthermore, the cage may be more compact (e.g., narrower) than a typical connection while maintaining or improving strength.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE WIRING
Helically winding an extruded web to form a wall of a heated hose about a central axis, extruding a bead of plastics material around a heating wire such that the extruded bead comprises the heating wire at a first location within a cross-section of the extruded bead, helically winding the extruded bead onto the wall of the hose to provide a support helix, and exerting tension on the heating wire to draw down the heating wire toward the central axis such that the heating wire migrates radially inward from the first location to a second location within the cross-section of the extruded bead.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE CONNECTION
Unwinding a portion of a support helix that comprises a heating wire from a wall of a hose at an end of the hose; sleeving a length of heatshrink tubing at least partly onto the unwound portion of the support helix; heating the heatshrink tubing to shrink onto at least part of the unwound portion of the support helix; and at an end of the unwound portion, directly connecting the heating wire to an electrical contact of an electrical connector.
HEATED RESPIRATORY HOSE ASSEMBLY
An undermold coupling to couple a hose to a hose fitting includes: a tubular portion to be inserted into a hose interface of the hose fitting; threads formed on an inner surface of the tubular portion to engage a support helix on an end of the hose as a set of threads; and a first grating comprising a first plurality of elongate portions to intermesh with a corresponding second plurality of elongate portions of a second grating of the hose interface, wherein the first plurality of elongate portions extend into a second plurality of slots defined by the second plurality of elongate portions, and the second plurality of elongate portions extend into a first plurality of slots defined by the first plurality of elongate portions.
