Coordinated control of commodity container pressure selection with run selection in a commodity delivery system of a work vehicle
A work vehicle includes a commodity delivery system that distributes commodity from a commodity source between a plurality of delivery runs, a commodity container pressure delivery system that may deliver selected pressure to the commodity container, and an electric control system coordinating operation of the commodity container pressure delivery system with a commodity manifold valve member delivering the commodity into a selected delivery run helping to match or otherwise balance pressure within the container storing the commodity with the selected commodity delivery path for control of siphoning and/or floating of the commodity as it is dispersed from the commodity container and into selected ones of the plurality of delivery runs of the work vehicle.
Placing unit having a bracing assembly and seeder comprising such units
A placing unit for a seed drill includes at least two furrow-opening disks and at least two devices for delivery of particulate products from at least one reservoir, the respective ejection outlets of which are situated between the two opener disks in a manner mutually offset along the direction of advance. The placing unit also includes a body carrying the disks and devices. The placing unit includes an elongated assembly for firming of the product or products deposited at the bottom of the furrow, and an interface for linking with the body for the seed-firming assembly, which includes an end for fixation with the interface and an opposite bracing end. The linking interface includes at least two fixation sites for the corresponding end of the assembly, offset longitudinally relative to one another along the direction of advance.
Sowing and Seeding Unit
Systems and methods for distributing granular products into the soil, comprising a mechanism for opening a furrow in the soil, a mechanism for filling the furrow, a first assembly for distributing a first granular product, comprising a main hopper, a first distribution mechanism for distributing a first granular product, in communication with said main hopper, a first conveyor mechanism for carrying said first granular product to the soil, to a first relative distribution position located between said mechanisms for opening and filling the furrow, at least one additional dispensing assembly for at least one additional granular product comprising mechanisms capable of depositing the said at least one additional granular product in the said relative dispensing position, and in another relative dispensing position situated before the said furrow opening mechanism, or in another relative dispensing position, located after the said furrow closing mechanism, said additional dispensing assembly, cooperating with or comprising a selection mechanism for depositing said at least one additional granular product at either of said relative dispensing positions, and both at said relative dispensing positions. The systems may include a seed drill comprising one or more sowing units.
BENT LEG OPENER FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SEEDING IMPLEMENT
An opener mounts on a tool supporting shank of an agricultural seeding implement for forming a furrow-type opening in the ground and delivering product into the ground as the agricultural seeding implement is displaced across the ground in a forward working direction. The opener includes a mounting body secured to the shank and a lower leg forming a knife that penetrates into the ground at an offset angle from vertical to minimize soil disturbance while seeding. The leading face of the lower leg and the front face of a lower portion of the mounting body each define a blunt edge (i) extending upwardly and rearwardly along a height thereof at a longitudinal slope, and (ii) extending in a widthwise direction across a majority of a width between the two side surfaces at a lateral slope that is between 60 degrees and 90 degrees from the forward working direction.
SINGULATION DEVICE FOR SINGULATING GRAINS ON THE BASIS OF A PRESSURE DIFFERENCE, METHOD FOR SINGULATING GRAINS, AND AGRICULTURAL ROW UNIT
A device for an for singulating grains based on a pressure difference comprises a chamber for receiving the grains, and a rotatable singulation element. The chamber is delimited in one direction by the singulation element and grains are transported from the chamber to a dispensing region by the singulation element. A first compressed air supply supplies compressed air to the chamber in order to generate at least one pressure difference. The singulation element has a plurality of recesses and the grains can be held in the recesses due to the pressure difference. Individualized grains are dispensed into a grain line in the dispensing region. A second compressed air supply is provided in order to prevent a flow of air out of the chamber into the grain line and in order to transport the grains through the grain line in an accelerated manner by the compressed air.
Commodity metering system for work vehicle with rollers in staggered arrangement
A work vehicle includes a commodity container and an actuator system with a plurality of actuators. The work vehicle includes a delivery system with a plurality of tubes. Furthermore, the work vehicle includes a metering system with a plurality of metering rollers that are configured to be individually actuated by respective ones of the plurality of actuators to meter out a commodity from the commodity container to respective ones of the plurality of tubes. The plurality of metering rollers are arranged substantially parallel to each other. The plurality of metering rollers are disposed in a staggered arrangement.
Seed conduit system
A seed conduit defining a first end and a second end. The first end couples to a storage container and the second end to a planter shoe. The seed conduit includes a first flange coupled to and extending away from the second end of the seed conduit. The first flange extends into a gap defined by the planter shoe to deliver product from the storage container to a trench. The seed conduit includes a first support rib coupled to the first flange.
SEED DELIVERY APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
An apparatus and methods for delivering seed from a metering device to a furrow. In one embodiment, a seed meter entrains seeds on a seed disc rotating toward a seed release location. A guide brush assembly guides the entrained seeds toward the seed release location, whereupon the entrained seeds are released from the seed disc into an upper end of a seed conveyor. The seed conveyor conveys the seed toward the soil and releases the seed with a rearward relative velocity.
Multiple agricultural product application method and systems
A planter includes a plurality of row units. The row units include metering systems, which can include multiple seed meters at a particular row unit, as well as a queuing system. The metering systems including more than one seed meters are configured such that the seed meters will plant a different seed types or varieties. The operation of one or more of the seed meters at a time will provide for the planting of a particular seed variety. The invention provides for on-the-go changing of a seed being planted by changing the operation of one or more of the seed meters at each of the row units and provides for almost infinite variation among the row units for planting particular seed varieties or not planting at all.
SEED PLANTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A planting device may include a platform having a top surface, a bottom surface, and an aperture. Either a projection that extends from the bottom surface or a planting tube that extends from the top surface may be configured couple to the aperture. The projection and the planting tube may be interchangeable. The planting device may further include a handle extending from the top surface.
