Seed delivery apparatus, systems, and methods
An apparatus and methods for delivering seed from a metering device to a furrow. In one embodiment, a seed meter entrains and releases seed from a seed disc at a seed release location. The released seed is directed into a seed conveyor by a loading wheel. The seed conveyor conveys the seed toward the soil and releases the seed with a rearward relative velocity.
Gardening Apparatus
A gardening apparatus includes a feeder cup, a connector, and a central axis. The feeder cup includes a first pouring section, a second pouring section, a third pouring section, and a fourth pouring section. The feeder cup and the connector are concentrically aligned along the central axis. The feeder cup and the connector are adjacently connected to each other as the feeder cup provide storage area for water or fertilizer. The first pouring section, the second pouring section, the third pouring section, and the fourth pouring section are radially integrated into the feeder cup to channel through the stored water or fertilizer. The connector functions as a fastening body to secure the feeder cup to existing watering wands or a handle so that the hard-to-reach botanical can be reached.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING AND CLEARING DEBRIS FROM PLANTER GAUGE WHEELS, CLOSING WHEELS AND SEED TUBES
Apparatus and methods for detecting and remediating clogged gauge wheels, closing wheels, and seed tubes of an agricultural planter.
COORDINATED CONTROL OF COMMODITY CONTAINER PRESSURE SELECTION WITH RUN SELECTION IN A COMMODITY DELIVERY SYSTEM OF A WORK VEHICLE
A work vehicle includes a commodity delivery system that distributes commodity from a commodity source between a plurality of delivery runs, a commodity container pressure delivery system that may deliver selected pressure to the commodity container, and an electric control system coordinating operation of the commodity container pressure delivery system with a commodity manifold valve member delivering the commodity into a selected delivery run helping to match or otherwise balance pressure within the container storing the commodity with the selected commodity delivery path for control of siphoning and/or floating of the commodity as it is dispersed from the commodity container and into selected ones of the plurality of delivery runs of the work vehicle.
MULTI-ROW PLANTER WITH SYNCHRONIZED SEED DROP
An agricultural planter has a plurality of planter row units spaced across a width of the planter, and release mechanisms for releasing seeds or plants into the ground from each row unit. A positioning system determines a location of the planter in a field, and a controller uses the location information to cause the release mechanism to release seeds or plants at predetermined tripping points in the field. The release mechanisms of all of the planter row units are moved simultaneously as the planter reaches each tripping point location in the field. This allows the seeds or plants from all of the row units to be released in a synchronized manner and aligned in a lateral direction relative to a direction of travel of the planter while planting. In one embodiment, the release mechanisms are positioned near lower ends of seed delivery tubes that receive seeds from seed metering mechanisms.
TRANSPLANTER WITH SYNCHRONIZED PLANT DROP
An agricultural planter has a carousel-type distribution unit for handling and planting plants. The distribution unit has a rotatably driven carousel containing a plurality of cups adapted to hold plants. The cups are operable to release plants into a conveyance channel for guiding the plants into a hollow plowshare. An ejector foot expels the plants from the hollow plowshare into a soil furrow. A drive mechanism drives the distribution unit to rotate the carousel, release plants into the conveyance channel, and expel plants from the hollow plowshare. The drive mechanism in one embodiment includes a ratcheting arm connected to a drive shaft that drives the distribution unit, and a linear actuator connected to the ratcheting arm. A positioning system determines a location of the planter in a field, and a controller activates the linear actuator to rotate the ratcheting arm when the planter reaches a tripping position in the field.
RADAR BASED SEED SENSOR FOR USE WITH AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS
A sensor assembly includes a sensor in the form of a microwave radar device to dispense microwaves in an area where seed or other particulate material is to be sensed. This may be a seed tube of a row unit. The microwaves of the radar provide an accurate determination if a seed or other particulate material has passed through the field of vision of the sensor to provide an accurate sensing of a seed event. This information can be used to determine the rate of planting, skips, doubles, as well as any other information related to the passing of a seed or other particulate material.
Audible alarm for seed tube guard wear
A seed tube guard for a row unit has a body having a first portion and a second portion. The second portion carries an audible alert material that is configured to produce an audible sound when scraped across rotating metal. The audible alert material has a material composition distinct from a material composition of the body carrying the audible alert material.
Autonomous or remote-controlled vehicle platform for planting
In one embodiment, a vehicle platform comprises a central body that can support one or more implement configurations, such as sprayer booms, or planting row units. A plurality of adjustable legs extends downward from the central body. Each adjustable leg has a corresponding leg actuator to adjust a respective vertical height of each adjustable leg. Each adjustable leg supports the central body. Planting row units are supported by or suspended from the central body.
Single disk fertilizer opener for an agricultural planter
A single disk fertilizer opener assembly for opening a trench in soil includes a frame support and a cutting disk for forming the trench. The cutting disk is coupled to an axle and rotates about the axle as the assembly moves in a working direction. The assembly also includes a first arm pivotally coupled to the frame support and the axle, and a second arm pivotally coupled to the frame support at a location spaced from the first arm. A bracket is coupled to the axle and the second arm, and a scraper is coupled to the bracket and disposed substantially perpendicularly to the working direction.
