METHOD OF PRODUCING A COVER FOR A VEHICLE ROOF
A method of producing a cover for optionally opening or tightly closing an opening in a vehicle roof, the cover having a sheet and a peripheral overmolding. According to the method, a coating is applied in a region which is later visible and which is to be covered, to a portion on the transparent sheet adjacent to the peripheral overmolding to be applied, and the coating is removed once the peripheral overmolding has been applied.
Method for producing a cable harness and cable harness
A cable harness is surrounded in certain regions by a sheath made of a casting compound. In order to ensure a defined delimitation of the casting compound, even if there is an insert part protruding from the sheath, the method for sealing a tool opening provides that a pressure element is pressed in the radial direction against the insert part. The insert part is clamped between the pressure element and a support element, and the support element remains in the cable harness as a consumable element. The insert part is particularly designed as a heat protection element. The cable harness is used particularly in a thermally stressed environment for a motor vehicle.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PLATE-INTEGRATED GASKET
A method has the steps of forming a lot of potting portions made of a rubber-like elastic material at appropriate intervals in respect of an extending direction of the gasket main body in the one side in the thickness direction in the peripheral edge portion of the plate in such a manner as to be positioned in a forming area of the gasket main body, next, pinching a portion constructed by the peripheral edge portion of the plate and the potting portion between inner surfaces of a gasket forming cavity of the metal mold and bringing the other side in the thickness direction of the peripheral edge portion into close contact with the one inner surface of the cavity by positioning and arranging the plate within the metal mold and clamping the mold, and filling a liquid rubber material into the cavity and curing the liquid rubber material.
Injection-molding press
An injection-molding press for overmolding a second part onto a first part (8) includes a movable portion and a fixed portion, with a first mold element (11, 12) on one of the press portions and a second mold element (20) on the other press portion so as to form a cavity (C) between the mold portions when the press is closed. The first mold portion (11, 12) has a first support surface (125a) movable in the first mold portion and the second mold portion (20) has a second support surface (22a). In the closed position of the press with a first part (8) in the first mold portion and the first support surface (125a) advanced in the working position, at least a portion (8b) of the front end of the first part (8) is clamped between the two support surfaces (125a, 22a), forming a tight seal for the cavity (C).
METHOD OF MAKING COMPRESSION MOLDED PARTS WITH BACK INJECTION MOLDED FEATURES
A method of manufacturing molded parts having back injection molded features is operable to make decorative panels for vehicle applications. A single workstation can heat a substrate, locate the heated substrate in a tool, load a cover stock on the substrate while in the tool, insert a buffer layer over the cover stock, close the tool, inject a resin to form ribbing, clip towers, locators, and/or attachment features, cool the part, and then open the tool to eject the completed part. The enhanced manufacturing processes reduces tooling cost and inherent energy usage.
Delivery Device Apparatuses, Systems, and Methods
An example medical agent filling system may comprise a container having an exterior housing formed by a rigid wall and a removable lid. The system may further comprise a fluid introduction port. The system may further comprise a fluid bus extending from the fluid introduction port to a plurality of dispensing sharps. The system may further comprise a plurality of reservoir assemblies each having a main interior volume sealed by a septum. Each of the septa may be in a punctured state with a respective dispensing sharp of the plurality of dispensing sharps extending therethrough. The fluid bus and main interior volumes of the reservoir assemblies may form an isolated fill environment.
