An agricultural implement system that includes a first toolbar section, a first row unit coupled to the first toolbar section, a second toolbar section, a second row unit coupled to the second toolbar section, and a row unit position control system. The system includes a sensor that detects an angle of the second toolbar section with respect to the first toolbar section. A controller couples to the sensor. The controller raises the first row unit and/or the second row unit in response to the angle to block contact of the first row unit and/or the second row unit with the ground.

Agricultural Application Implement With A Liftable Bin
20210204469 · 2021-07-08 ·

An agricultural application implement for delivering particulate product to a field. The implement includes a frame, a bin to hold product, a pneumatic conveying system fixed to the frame, a metering system operably connected between the supply compartment and the pneumatic conveying system, and a bin lift system. The pneumatic conveying system includes an airflow source to provide an airflow, and a delivery line operably connected to the airflow source and to the bin. The delivery line includes a plurality of outlets. The metering system meters product with the airflow to result in a mixed flow of airflow and product for the delivery line. The bin lift system includes hydraulic cylinders coupling the bin to the frame, and a bin lift controller to control the hydraulic cylinders to raise or lower the bin.

Agricultural Toolbar with Working and Transport Positioning
20210007265 · 2021-01-14 ·

An agricultural toolbar employs at least two wing assemblies for following the contour of the land in a working position and foldable to a transport position for transit on public roads. The principal use in working position benefits from having a wide range of movement to accommodate variations in land contours and soil types. The principal use in transport mode benefits from having a compact configuration to better meet road regulations. End-uses that condition cultivatable land at multiple locations will benefit from the toolbar.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING LOAD SENSORS OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT

A system for calibrating load sensors installed on an agricultural implement. The system includes a load sensor provided in operative association with a ground engaging tool and configured to capture load data indicative of a load applied to the ground-engaging tool. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the load sensor configured to determine first and second load values based on the load data received from the load sensor when the down force actuator is disposed at first and second actuator positions so as to apply first and second down forces, respectively, against the ground engaging tool. The controller is also configured to determine a relationship between the first and second load values and corresponding force values associated with the first down force and the second down force.

DOWNFORCE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL ROW UNIT

A downforce monitoring system for an agricultural row unit includes a controller configured to receive a first input signal indicative of torque applied to a gauge wheel support arm. The controller is also configured to receive a second input signal indicative of an angle of the gauge wheel support arm relative to a frame of the agricultural row unit. In addition, the controller is configured to determine a determined downforce applied to a soil surface by a gauge wheel rotatably coupled to the gauge wheel support arm based on the torque and the angle. The controller is also configured to output a first output signal of the determined downforce, to output a second output signal to a downforce actuator to control a downforce applied to the soil surface by the gauge wheel based on the determined downforce and a target downforce, or a combination thereof

Distribution device

A distribution device, in particular a sowing machine, for distributing a good, with at least one storage container and at least one discharge apparatus. The storage container is connected to the discharge apparatus by at least one outlet channel such that the good arranged in the storage container can be transferred to the discharge apparatus such that the good can be distributed by the discharge apparatus. The distribution device has a first and a second part. The first and the second parts can be moved in relation to each other such that the outlet channel can be at least partially exposed.

Apparatus for combining planting implements
10863664 · 2020-12-15 ·

An apparatus for combining planting implements enables an operator of a tractor to use both a conventional cultivating implement and a conventional broadcasting implement simultaneously. The apparatus is rigidly affixed to a conventional cultivating implement and comprises a support frame, a pair of brackets, and a connection bar. In combination, the support frame, pair of brackets, and connection bar provide a three-point connection whereby a conventional broadcasting implement may be attached thereto, thus enabling an operator of a tractor to use both a conventional cultivating implement and a conventional broadcasting implement simultaneously. In operation, at least a portion of the conventional cultivating implement is disposed behind the conventional broadcasting implement when the conventional broadcasting implement is attached to the support frame, thereby allowing simultaneous cultivation and broadcasting of constituents.

SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR PLANTER WEIGHT TRANSFER
20200383264 · 2020-12-10 · ·

An removably installable apparatus and system for managing weight transfer along a tractor drawn tool bar for use in row planting systems is provided. The planter weight transfer system comprises first and second bolt-on bracket assemblies secured to each other and to a row planter tool bar by a set of fasteners. Additionally, the bolt-on brackets are joined at the top by an actuator which applies a force on the brackets.

SEED PLANTER TRANSFER UNIT
20200375088 · 2020-12-03 ·

A seed transfer unit for an agricultural planter, having first and second transfer bodies, with each having a plate with a cylindrical sidewall extending perpendicularly. The first and second plates are mounted to permit relative rotation therebetween about a device axis coincident with the major axes through the first and second cylindrical side walls, with the first and second plates parallel, and with the second cylindrical side wall disposed within, and concentric with, the first cylindrical side wall, such that the first and second plates and first and second cylindrical side walls define an annular space therebetween. The first plate has an inlet aperture through which a seed may pass to the annular space, and the second plate has at least one outlet aperture through which a seed is ejected. Each of the first and second plates has at least one arcuate ridge portion concentric with the respective cylindrical side wall and extending into the annular space, which ridge portions cooperate to carry a seed through the annular space from the inlet aperture to the, or one of the, outlet apertures as the first and second plates rotate relative to one another.
