System for co-injection with continuous injection molding
A carousel-like continuous co-injection molding system includes an arrangement of upper and lower inclined feed channels. Each of the feed channels has a valve therein positioned upstream of an inlet to an associated mold cavity. The valve is controllable so that adjustments may be made in real time to achieve or maintain delivery of molten polymeric material to the mold cavity at constant pressure.
DEVICE FOR INJECTION MOLDING PREFORM, INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS, AND SYNTHETIC RESIN BOTTLE
Technical problems of this invention is to create an injection molding device and an injection molding process for a test tube shaped preform, that can laminate a colored layer at certain positions of a wall of the reform with a certain thickness in a manner of a high degree of accuracy.
A feature associated with the injection molding device to solve these problem comprising a nozzle section, in which a molten main resin and a molten second resin are join together to form a joined resin mass, the nozzle section comprising: an outer flow channel through which the main resin flows, an inner flow channel through which the second resin flows, a cylindrical column-shaped joined flow channel where the second resin from the inner flow channel joins the main resin from the outer flow channel, a first confluence disposed at a point where the main resin from the outer flow channel flows into the joined flow channel, a second confluence disposed at a point where the second resin flows into the joined flow channel wherein the first confluence is located downstream of the second confluence with a predetermined space left in between, and a cylindrical shutoff pin inserted slidably in the joined flow channel, wherein this shutoff pin is capable of shutting off or opening either or both of the first confluence and/or the second confluence, depending on the sliding position.
EXTRUDED MULTI-LAYER MOLDED RUNNING BOARD
A vehicle running board includes opposing vertical walls extending along a length of a tubular structure and including a carbon-fiber component. Opposing horizontal walls extend between the opposing vertical walls and include a glass component. The opposing vertical and opposing horizontal walls form the tubular structure having a generally rectilinear cross section. A polymer outer covering extends over the opposing vertical and opposing horizontal walls.
MULTILAYERED PREFORM AND MULTILAYERED STRETCH-BLOW-FORMED CONTAINER
A multilayered preform including inner and outer layers of an ethylene terephthalate type polyester resin, and at least one intermediate layer of at least a lowly crystalline ethylene terephthalate type polyester resin and a gas-barrier aromatic polyamide resin, wherein the lowly crystalline ethylene terephthalate type polyester resin contains, as a copolymerizable component, a cyclohexanedimethanol in an amount of 15 to 20 mol % or an isophthalic acid in an amount of 7.5 to 15 mol %, a weight ratio of the lowly crystalline ethylene terephthalate type polyester resin and the gas-barrier aromatic polyamide resin is in a range of 50:50 to 75:25, a weight ratio of the intermediate layer is not less than 1% by weight but is less than 10% by weight per the whole preform, and a haze is not less than 5% in a portion where a multilayered structure has been formed.
PREFORM EXTRUSION MOLDING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR EXTRUSION MOLDING, AND PREFORM
A process includes: supplying a main resin from outer and inner flow channel, to a joined flow channel at a predetermined supply velocity for a predetermined time; supplying a second resin from a middle flow channel to the joined flow channel simultaneously with the main resin at a predetermined supply velocity for a certain time within the predetermined time; and sliding a shut-off pin to bring the pin forefront to a predetermined position near an outlet of the inner flow channel, open to the joined flow channel, before the second resin is supplied, or during a time starting after a time from the start of the second resin supply and ending with the termination of the supply, so that the velocity of main resin supply from the inner flow channel to the joined flow channel is reduced to a predetermined level by adjusting the degree of aperture for the outlet.
CO-INJECTION WITH CONTINUOUS INJECTION MOLDING
A carousel-like continuous co-injection molding system includes an arrangement of upper and lower inclined feed channels. Each of the feed channels has a valve therein positioned upstream of an inlet to an associated mold cavity. The valve is controllable so that adjustments may be made in real time to achieve or maintain delivery of molten polymeric material to the mold cavity at constant pressure.
