Method for making a toothbrush
A method for making a toothbrush including a handle, a head including at least one cleaning element extending therefrom, and a hinge arranged between the head and the handle, said hinge including a joint between the handle and the head of a harder thermoplastic component covered by a softer thermoplastic component is provided, the method including: forming a base body by injection molding of a first thermoplastic material forming one of the handle or the head, and injection molding of a second thermoplastic material for forming the other of the handle or the head to thereby fuse the second thermoplastic material against the first thermoplastic material; placing the base body into a further mold; and injection molding the softer thermoplastic component for covering the joint.
Insulated double walled drinking vessels and methods of making the same
An insulated drinking vessel, e.g., a wine glass, and a method of making the same is disclosed. The drinking vessel basically comprises an outer vessel, an inner vessel and a ring. The inner and outer vessels each include a sidewall. The sidewalls are spaced apart. At least one of the outer vessel, the inner vessel and the ring are pre-molded to form an integral structure having a vestige of a molding gate used to mold the integral structure. At least one of the inner and outer vessels and the ring is molded in situ on the integral structure to cause portions thereof to melt and intermingle to form a non-superficial homogenous joint, with the ring forming the rim or lip of the insulated drinking vessel.
Thermoplastic Elastomer Composition for Double Layer Molding, Double Layer Molded Article, and Method for Producing Double Layer Molded Article
A thermoplastic elastomer composition for double layer molding which is to be thermal fusion-bonded by injection molding, the thermoplastic elastomer composition for double layer molding containing 100 parts by mass of a hydrogenated block copolymer (a-1), 10 to 100 parts by mass of a polypropylene resin (b), and 50 to 300 parts by mass of a non-aromatic softener (c), and further containing a hydrogenated block copolymer (a-2), both the hydrogenated block copolymers (a-1) and (a-2) being non-modified hydrogenated block copolymers, wherein a content of the hydrogenated block copolymer (a-2) is 5 to 70% by mass based on the total amount of the components (a-1), (a-2), (b), and (c), and the hydrogenated block copolymers (a-1) and (a-2) have their respective specific structures.
