Container and process for making a container
The present invention relates to a container for food having an integrally formed receptacle body, in which the receptacle body has a base, an inner wall and an outer wall spaced from the inner wall to form an insulating region therebetween. The insulating region may contain an insulating material that is molded in the insulating region.
SLIDE FASTENER TAPE WITH MOLDED ZIPPER TEETH AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
A molded-teeth slide fastener tape for use in a slide fastener assembly includes a woven portion and a plurality of resin-based teeth. The woven portion includes a cord arranged along an edge thereof and a plurality of spaced-apart perforations, disposed adjacent to the cord, which pass completely through the woven portion. Each of the plurality of resin-based teeth is integrally molded to the woven portion along the cord. Each molded tooth encompasses at least a portion of at least one of the spaced-apart perforations so that each molded tooth extends through the at least one of the spaced-apart perforations and fully around a cross-sectional shape of the cord.
INJECTION MOLDED ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF JOINING INJECTION MOLDED PARTS
An assembly of joined injection molded parts and a method for joining injection molded parts is disclosed herein. The assembly includes, but is not limited to, a first injection molded part having a first bonding area. The first bonding area has a plurality of first fingers extending from a surface of the first bonding area. The assembly further includes a second injection molded part having a second bonding area. The second bonding area corresponds in shape to the first bonding area and has a plurality of second fingers that extend from a surface of the second bonding area. The assembly includes an adhesive tape arranged between the plurality of first fingers and the plurality of second fingers. The adhesive tape is configured to bond the first injection molded part to the second injection molded part.
COSMETIC DEVICES, PRECURSOR THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS
The disclosure relates to a cosmetic device and related methods of manufacturing and using a cosmetic device. The device may comprise a porous part formed using a soluble filler and a non-porous part molded to the porous part.
Method and apparatus for a homogeneous thermoplastic leg support
A leg support includes a support element. A reinforcing element is disposed on the support element. The support element is chemically compatible with the reinforcing element. A homogeneous chemical bond is formed between the support element and the reinforcing element.
Cosmetic devices, precursor therefor and related methods
A cosmetic device and related methods of manufacturing and using a cosmetic device. The device may comprise a porous part formed using a soluble filler and a non-porous part molded to the porous part.
Method for producing a hybrid composite component from organo sheets and a metallic reinforcing element
A method for producing a hybrid composite component from organo sheets and a metallic reinforcing element in such a way that the method may be inexpensively and simply performed and the hybrid composite component has the lowest possible weight and may absorb relatively high forces.
UMBRELLA VALVE WITH OVERMOLDED CORE
An umbrella valve includes a wall structure having an aperture and a passage adjacent to the aperture. A core member includes a body portion with a shoulder and a retention clip extending from the body portion and including a pair of flexible legs supporting a respective one of a pair of retention flanges spaced a predetermined distance from the shoulder. The retention clip is received in the aperture in the wall structure. An umbrella-shaped valve member is over-molded to the core member. The umbrella-shaped valve member includes a convex surface facing in a direction away from the wall structure and a concave surface facing in a direction towards the wall structure. An outer peripheral edge of the umbrella-shaped valve member is disposed against the one face of the wall structure surrounding the passage.
INJECTION MOLDING OF HOLLOW ARTICLES
A hollow article such as an active bolster for an automobile is formed of an injection molded panel having a ridge and furrow adjacent a panel perimeter and an injection molded sheet having a bonding section at a sheet outer periphery, wherein the bonding section is within the furrow. An injection molded bond is formed between the bonding section and furrow, wherein a compression area where the sheet overlies a region of the panel adjacent the furrow is configured to constrain the bond to the furrow. An associated process and system facilitates mold alignment, part alignment, material strength, design adaptability, efficient processing, reduced labor, increased production rates, reduced energy consumption per part, aesthetically pleasing surfaces, and reduces or eliminates the need for a separate welding operation.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE PREPARATION OF MOLDED PLASTIC ARTICLES HAVING A STRUCTURAL BARRIER LAYER
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for the preparation of a co-injection molded multilayer plastic article. Some methods include co-extruding a combined polymeric stream having an interior core stream encased by an inner stream and an outer stream. A volumetric ratio of the inner stream to outer stream is adjusted during injection of the combined stream into the a mold cavity to alter a streamline along which the interior core stream flows thereby forming cohesion member that structurally interlocks the interior layer with the inner layer, with the outer layer or with both. Some embodiments reduce or eliminate a need for addition of an adhesive in the composite stream to prevent delamination of layers of the resulting multilayer plastic article. In some embodiments, cohesion members may be employed to produce a desired cosmetic effect in a resulting article.
