System and methods for an injection molding machine operable with an additive feeder system
An additive feeder system is presented which is operable for use in a plastic injection molding machine including an injection component and a clamping component. The additive feeder system includes a feeder control unit, a feeder supply mechanism and feeder dosage control mechanism. The additive feeder system is operable to provide a specific dosage of the additive materiel in real-time for mixing with the raw material to achieve desired product characteristics. The additive feeder system may be applied to injection molding and extrusion, such as molding processes, plastic molding processes, blow molding, compression molding, extrusion molding, injection molding and laminating, and comprising additive feeders, for example for color mixing and nutrient supplements.
Nozzle shut off for injection molding system
An injection molding apparatus and method of fabricating a molded part are provided. The apparatus may include a barrel, a nozzle enclosing an end of the barrel and defining an opening in fluid communication with an inside of the barrel, and an extrusion screw positioned at least partially inside the barrel and rotatable relative to the barrel. The extrusion screw may include a screw tip. Relative axial movement between the barrel and the extrusion screw may open or close the opening of the nozzle to permit or prevent, respectively, material flow through the opening of the nozzle. The method may include clamping a mold, opening a nozzle, rotating the extrusion screw to pump a molten material into the mold until the mold is filled, closing the nozzle, and unclamping the mold to release a molded part.
Brake control device for injection molding machine and brake control method for injection molding machine
A brake control method for an injection molding machine includes the steps of obtaining mold clamping force information indicating the mold clamping force of a mold opening/closing mechanism and determining whether or not the mold clamping force of the mold opening/closing mechanism exceeds a predetermined value, based on the mold clamping force information. When the mold clamping force of the mold opening/closing mechanism does not exceed the predetermined value and when a servo amplifier cuts off the supply of power to a servomotor that drives the mold opening/closing mechanism, a brake mechanism for applying braking force to the mold opening/closing mechanism is actuated. On the other hand, when the mold clamping force of the mold opening/closing mechanism exceeds the predetermined value, the brake mechanism will not be actuated.
Apparatus for injection molding of plastic materials
An apparatus for injection molding of fluid plastic materials includes a mold, a hot runner distributor of the fluid plastic material, at least one injector, and an actuator for controlling the opening and closing of the injector, including a jack whose cooling is performed by means of an air flow.
INJECTION MOLDING FLOW CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD
Injection molding apparatuses and methods wherein a valve pin is controllably driven upstream and downstream along an axis between a first closed position where the tip end of the valve pin obstructs the gate to prevent the injection fluid from flowing into the cavity, a full open position and one or more intermediate positions, wherein the valve pin is drivable to be disposed or held in a selected intermediate position for a selected period of time during the course of an injection cycle where the tip end of the valve pin restricts flow of injection fluid through the gate to the mold cavity.
OIL-ELECTRICITY HYBRID INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE
Disclosed is an oil-electricity hybrid injection molding machine, including a base, a feeding barrel, a screw rod and a power system. The oil-electricity hybrid injection molding machine utilizes a dual clutch combination with coaxial arrangement to enable the use of the same motor for injection and feeding, thereby reducing the selection specifications of the motor; on the other hand, through the use of auxiliary oil cylinders, under the oil-electricity hybrid power, the pressure, speed, and accuracy of the injection can be ensured, especially during injection
Apparatus for taking out molded product
An apparatus for taking out a molded product that is capable of suppressing displacement vibration of an attachment in a shorter time than ever without using a large-scaled electric actuator. An active controller performs active control in conjunction with the positioning, control by the servomotor. At the beginning of the active control, the positioning control is primarily performed by the servomotor, and then the active control is positively performed by the active controller using an electric actuator. Compared with when only the active control is performed for vibration suppression, a lighter and smaller electric actuator can be employed.
Apparatus for taking out molded product
An apparatus for taking out a molded product that is capable of suppressing displacement vibration of an attachment in a shorter time than ever without using a large-scaled electric actuator. An active controller starts active control after the amplitude of displacement vibration of the take-out head as an attachment has been attenuated to a predetermined setting by means of positioning control by a servomotor or when the amplitude can be considered as having been attenuated to the predetermined setting. The positioning control is first performed by the servomotor, and then the active control is performed by the active controller using an electric actuator which is light in weight and small in size.
INJECTION MOLDING FLOW CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD
A method and apparatus for performing an injection molding cycle comprising drivably interconnecting a valve pin to an electric motor actuator and controllably operating the electric motor to drive the valve pin at one or more reduced rates of upstream or downstream travel based on either detection of the position of the pin or actuator or on a preselected length of time at which to drive the valve pin.
