Suction base unit and receptacle

A food receptacle (12), such as a child's food bowl, which can be secured to a flat surface by a suction base unit (10) is described. The suction base unit (10) is of low-profile and is adapted to be attached to a flat surface by a vacuum formed between a suction pad (14) in the suction base unit (10) and the flat surface. The food bowl (12) has a base (16) with a rim (18) adapted to rest on the flat surface to support the bowl (12) on the surface. The base (16) has a recess (20) adapted to receive the suction base unit (10) therein. Because the suction base unit (10) is of low profile it can be wholly contained within the base (16) of the bowl. A securing mechanism (22) is provided for releasably securing the suction base unit (10) within the base (16) of the food receptacle (12). In use, when the suction base unit (10) is attached to a flat surface and the receptacle (12) is secured thereto the rim (18) of the receptacle base (16) presses against the flat surface and supports the receptacle thereon.

The wall mount adaptor may have a top recessed portion disposed proximate the wall and a plurality of slots disposed on a side of the adaptor opposite the wall. A cover or back splash may include a mating adaptor having a protrusion that may extend along a wall facing side of the mating adaptor and be configured to be received by or engage with the top recess. The mating adaptor may also include a plurality of connectors or pins that extend from the wall facing side, each of the plurality of connectors or pins may be configured to be received by or engage with a respective slot. The back splash may include an opening that may be configured to receive at least a portion of a horizontal tray. The horizontal tray may be configured to connect to the back splash and may be secured to the wall mount adaptor.

A bowl includes a body portion. The body portion is formed from a material comprising a bulk molding compound. The bulk molding compound includes a polyester resin, glass fiber and calcium carbonate. A method for forming a bowl includes providing a composition comprising a bulk molding compound, providing the composition in a cavity of a mold including a male die member and a female die member, and compressing the male die member and the female die member under heat to form a molded material. The bulk molding compound includes a polyester resin, glass fiber and calcium carbonate.

An improved reconfigurable label assembly for use with pets is presented. The assembly includes a container, a front panel, a back panel, a bottom panel, and an optional pair of attachment elements. The bottom panel is disposed between and substantially parallel to the front and back panels in a first configuration to form a label attached to and completely separable from the container. The label is disposed along an outer surface of the container in the first configuration and is configurable to form a receptacle in a second configuration. The front and back panels are separable and the bottom panel is expandable to form the receptacle after the label is removed from the container. The receptacle is capable of holding a consumable pet product. The receptacle is reconfigurable to the label after use as the receptacle so that the label may be directly reattached to the container. The optional attachment elements cooperate to releasably secure the front, back, and bottom panels to the container in the first configuration.

A dispensing system for dispensing water and/or food to a pet that is confined in an automobile. A backboard is attached to the rear of a vehicle's seat using suspension elements. At least one storage container is mounted to the backboard. A tray is positioned under the storage containers. The tray holds a bowl for each storage container. The tray is also attached to the backboard. The bowls receive the dispensed water and/or food dispensed from the storage containers. The bowls are specially formed to minimize spillage in an automobile. Each bowl is annular in shape. As such, each bowl has a central opening. When water or food fills a bowl, any overflow or spillage flows into the central opening. Under the bowls, the spillage is captured by receptacles in the underlying tray.
