BROADCAST SPREADER WITH SWATH MANIPULATION
A spreader with a material divider that is adjustable from side to side so as to change a percentage of a stream of material which flows through portions of the material divider and also supports and moves laterally with a spinner while the spinner is adjustable longitudinally. The geometry of spread patterns can be adjusted by laterally manipulating the location of the material divider.
Adjustable height broadcast spinner assembly
A method and assembly for broadcast distributing a granular agricultural material. The assembly includes a container that is configured to be supported by a chassis of a self-powered vehicle and contain a volume of a solid granular material. The assembly includes a spinner assembly that includes a first disk and a second disk that are disposed toward opposite lateral outboard sides of the vehicle. A mount arrangement is disposed between the spinner assembly and the chassis and is adjustable to manipulate a position of the first spinner and the second spinner relative to the chassis. Preferably, the mounting arrangement is configured to simultaneously adjust the position of the first spinner and the second spinner relative to the chassis.
Turn-compensating agricultural material spreader system
A system and method of automatically adjusting an amount of agricultural granular material delivered to a field in response to vehicle steering activities. The system includes a sensor that is associated with a steering system of a vehicle configured to apply the material to a field. The sensor is connected to a controller that is configured to determine a deviation value associated with discrete turning activities. The controller is configured to manipulate operation of a first commodity delivery system and a second commodity delivery system such that different amounts of the agricultural material can be delivered to alternate lateral sides of the vehicle in response to turning activities.
Monitoring System for an Agricultural Harvester and Agricultural Harvester
A monitoring system for a combine harvester having a header with a header width for harvesting a crop. The monitoring system includes a plurality of sensors, configured to provide a plurality of measurement waves to a discharge area for crop residue, and receive a plurality of response waves reflected from the discharge area. The system further includes a processing unit comprising an input terminal configured to receive a response signal of the plurality of sensors, the response signal representative of the plurality of response waves reflected from the discharge area. The processing unit is configured to process the response signal and determine, based on the response signal, a distribution of the crop residue over the discharge area. The processing unit further comprises an output terminal configured to output a distribution signal representative of the distribution of the crop residue over the discharge area.
Broadcast spreader with asymmetrial swath manipulation
A spreader with a material divider that is adjustable from side to side so as to change a percentage of a stream of material which flows through portions of the material divider and also supports and moves laterally with a spinner while the spinner is adjustable longitudinally. The geometry of spread patterns can be adjusted by laterally manipulating the location of the material divider.
Dual chain fertilizer spreader for golf courses
A method of spreading granular fertilizer includes driving a small framed truck over an electronically mapped area that is in need of granular fertilizer. As the small framed truck is driven over the mapped area, a GP S sensor is read to determine the location of the small framed truck on the mapped area. An electronic control determines the application rate of granular fertilizer needed to the left of the truck and the application rate of granular fertilizer needed to the right of the truck in relation to the location of the truck on the mapped area. The method includes dispensing left and right amounts of granular fertilizer from a hopper carried on the truck, with the left and right amounts being separately dispensed at rates determined in the determining step. Apparatus to carry out the method is also disclosed.
HANDHELD POWER SPREADER
A spreader tool includes a hopper disposed above a base. The base includes a base opening that forms an egress. The spreader tool further includes an impeller disposed below the hopper. The spreader tool further includes a distribution gate that is positioned below the hopper and configured to selectively permit egress between the hopper and the base. The spreader tool further includes one or more motors that is operably coupled to a power unit and the impeller and the distribution gate. The one or more motors is configured to selectively rotate the impeller and the distribution gate. The spreader tool further includes a handle having a trigger assembly. The trigger assembly being configured to selectively command articulation of energy from the power unit to operate the motor to rotate the impeller and the distribution gate.
Particulate material dispersing apparatus with shut-off adjustment plate
A broadcast spreader and methods of using the same. One method includes dispersing particulate material using a broadcast spreader having a hopper and an impeller by placing the spreader in a first configuration where a first set of through openings proximate a bottom portion of the hopper permit the particulate material to pass therethrough and fall onto the impeller to thereby be distributed in a first spread pattern, and shifting the spreader into a second configuration where a second set of through openings proximate the bottom portion of the hopper permit the particulate material to pass therethrough and fall onto the impeller to thereby be distributed in a second spread pattern. The first set of through openings includes a different number of through openings than the second set of through openings, and the first spread pattern is different than the second spread pattern.
Electric assist walk-behind spreader
A broadcast spreader broadly comprising a frame, a hopper, an impeller, a set of wheels, and an electric hub motor. The hopper is supported by the frame and configured to hold a particulate material. The impeller is rotatably connected below the hopper and is configured to receive the particulate material from the hopper and spread the particulate material over a surface. The wheels are rotatably connected to the frame for traversing the surface. The electric hub motor is at least partially positioned in one of the wheels and configured to drivably engage the one of the wheels to propel the hopper along the surface.
FERTILIZER/CHEMICAL DISPENSERS FOR LAWN CARE HAVING INTELLIGENT DISPENSING SYSTEMS (SMART DISPENSER LOGIC) AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF USE
A fertilizer/chemical dispenser having intelligent dispensing logic, including: a frame sub-assembly; a first reservoir for containing chemical solids, wherein the first reservoir is associated with the frame sub-assembly; a first dispenser for dispending chemical solids; a second reservoir for containing chemical liquids, wherein the second reservoir is associated with the frame sub-assembly; a second dispenser for dispending chemical liquids; at least one ground-engaging drive wheel; an engine, wherein the engine is associated with the frame sub-assembly; and an image sensor, wherein the image sensor is in communication with a comparative database that enables the reduction and/or avoidance of nonapplication, misapplication and/or overapplication of lawn care chemicals.
