Cap and securing structure part using cap
A cap is applied to a securing structure part for securing structure elements using a fastener passed through through-holes formed in the structure elements, and a collar fastened to the tip part of the fastener. A filler engaging part for engaging a cured filler, configured with a female thread that turns about a center axis, is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cap. The filler engaging part includes a first helical engagement part formed in the region near the cap inner part of the inner peripheral surface in the center axis direction; and a second helical engagement part formed in the region near the cap opening-end part in the center axis direction, the inner diameter of the second helical engagement part being greater than that of the first helical engagement part, and having a helical direction that is opposite to that of the first helical engagement part.
Method for making a cleated plate
A method for making a cleated plate member for an article of footwear is described. The method includes a number of steps where various molds are used to form different components of the cleated plate member. A collar receptacle is formed using a first molding process. A cleat member is formed from a non-compatible material with a fastener of the cleat member associated with the collar receptacle using another molding process to form a combined cleat assembly. The combined cleat assembly is placed into corresponding receptacles in a mold used to form the cleated plate member. The cleated plate member is formed using another molding process that embeds the collar receptacle into the body of the cleated plate member. The completed cleated plate member includes releasably attached cleat members.
Applicator for a cosmetic product, in particular mascara, assembly formed by such an applicator and a product container, and method and device for the production of said applicator
A cosmetic product applicator, in particular for mascara, is configured to be screwed on a receptacle for a cosmetic product The applicator includes a cover (22), intended to be manipulated by a user, a rod (24), intended to bear an applicator end-piece, and a molded interface zone (30) on which the cover (22) and/or the rod (24) are mounted The interface zone (30) bears a thread (32) for screwing the applicator (20) on the receptacle (10), the thread forming less than one turn.
Membrane for liquid-resistant devices and methods of making a membrane
A bracket assembly suitable for use with an electronic device is described. The bracket assembly may include a bracket body having a channel. The bracket assembly may further include a membrane embedded in the bracket body and designed to allow air, but not liquid (such as water), to pass through the membrane. The membrane may be at least partially surrounded by a membrane support molded to the membrane. The membrane and the membrane support may be disposed in a molding tool to receive a material used to mold the bracket body over the membrane and the membrane support. During the molding operation, the membrane support may act as a buffer to shield the membrane from temperature and pressure increases associated with the molding operation of the bracket body. The bracket assembly may improve the ability of the electronic device to prevent liquid ingress.
Pipe end protector
A pipe end protector for protecting pipe threads provided on a pipe end of a pipe component for exploration and production of a hydrocarbon well, said pipe end protector comprising a main body and an annular flexible lip seal, wherein the main body is made from a first polymeric material having a first elastic modulus, and the lip seal is made from a second polymeric material having a second elastic modulus which is lower than the first elastic modulus.
Barrier Coated Stopper and Method of Forming Same
A method of forming a molded device, such as a stopper, requiring minimal post-molding processing includes providing a four-plate mold assembly (52) having top plate (54), a sprue/vent plate (56) including a core portion (62), a main plate (58) including a recess (66) defining a mold cavity (68) having a contoured surface (70), and a bottom plate (60), closing the mold assembly (52) such that the core portion (62) enters into the recess (66) in the main plate (58) to define a space (72) corresponding to the shape of the stopper (10, 110) to be molded. A polymeric material is introduced into the mold cavity (68) to form the stopper (10, 110). A barrier layer (14, 114) can be inserted between the main plate (58) and bottom plate and adhered to the molded device (10, 110). The plates are opened and the molded device is removed.
Inner mold tool
An inner mould tool forming part of a mould to be used during injection moulding of plastic articles, such as plastic tops for liquid food packages, is provided. The inner mould tool comprises an outer surface defining the interior surface of the plastic article to be produced, wherein the longitudinal end of the inner mould tool is provided with a bushing having a planar surface defining the longitudinal end of the inner mould tool and being configured to be in contact with mating outer mould tools during injection moulding. The bushing is provided with side walls extending from the planar surface, said side walls forming part of the outer surface of the inner mould tool.
Tube head comprising an insert forming a barrier and allowing the insert to be centered
A plastic tube head for a product having a liquid to pasty consistency, comprising: a neck; a shoulder; and an insert forming a barrier having an outer edge which is covered in a continuous manner by an outer support made of plastic material forming the tube head, and an inner hole defining an inner edge. The tube head is characterized in that the inner edge of the insert is covered in a discontinuous manner by the plastic material forming the tube head, such that a portion of the face of the insert which is oriented towards the internal volume inside the tube and adjacent to the inner edge is covered by an inner support.
