MOLDED RESIN PRODUCT, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED RESIN PRODUCT, MOLD, AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED RESIN PRODUCT
A molded resin product includes a plurality of protrusions formed in a predetermined region. A histogram indicating a height distribution of the plurality of protrusions has two peaks having a boundary height as a boundary therebetween. In a case where protrusions having height equal to or smaller than the height Hx are first protrusions and protrusions having height larger than the boundary height are second protrusions among the plurality of protrusions, an arithmetic mean curvature of the first protrusions is smaller than an arithmetic mean curvature of the second protrusions.
Method and mould for producing an aerodynamic element comprising riblets
A mould for obtaining an element is provided. The mould includes an outer face and a plurality of parallel ribs and/or grooves formed on the outer face. One of the walls of the mould includes ribs and/or grooves of which at least a portion of the ribs and/or grooves can be retracted, at least temporarily, such that at least a portion of the surface of the wall is smooth.
Manufacturing method and mold for artificial shuttlecock
A mold for manufacturing an artificial shuttlecock from a semi-finished shuttlecock includes a male mold and a female mold. The male mold includes a cone frustum and a plurality of first annular grooves. The semi-finished shuttlecock is placed on an outside of the cone frustum. The first annular grooves are disposed apart on the outside of the cone frustum. The female mold includes a tapered slot, a plurality of second annular grooves and an injection channel. The second annular grooves are disposed apart on an inner surface of the tapered slot. When the semi-finished shuttlecock and the male mold are placed into the female mold, each of the first annular grooves corresponds to each of the second annular grooves to form a plurality of molded grooves. The injection channel communicates with the second annular grooves, and the molded grooves communicate with the injection channel through the second annular grooves.
SAMPLE HOLDER FOR IMAGE BASED ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES
A sample holder 100 for use in a device for image-based analysis of multiple samples, the sample holder comprising: an optically flat surface 10; multiple locations of interest 16, 18 dispersed across the optically flat surface 10 that each, in use, correspond to locations of a sample of the multiple samples; and multiple focal structures 12 associated with the multiple locations of interest 16, 18; wherein the focal structures 12 each comprise at least one pyramid shaped indentation 30 in the optically flat surface 10.
VENTED RING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A vented finger ring and its method of manufacture are provided. The vented ring includes an outer ring portion, an inner ring portion, and an anti-stretch element positioned between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The inner ring portion includes lateral grooves connected to inner grooves, the connected lateral grooves and inner grooves forming at least one fluid conduit from a first side of the vented ring to a second side of the vented ring. The method includes injecting a first material into a first mold to form an outer ring portion, injecting a second material into a second mold to form an inner ring portion, and positioning an anti-stretch element between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The second mold includes at least one feature on a surface thereof, the at least one feature corresponding to connected lateral grooves and inner grooves on an inner surface of the inner ring portion.
Membrane modules utilizing innovative geometries of net-type feed spacers for improved performance in separations and spacer-fabrication methods therein
The present invention discloses membrane modules utilizing innovative geometries of net-type feed spacers for improved performance in separations and spacer-fabrication methods therein. Membrane modules include: a central tube having perforations along its length for collecting a permeate; at least two filtration envelopes, each filtration envelope having two membrane sheets and a porous, fabric-type insert in between the two membrane sheets for facilitating the permeate to flow, wherein each envelope is closed along three edges of the two membrane sheets, and wherein each envelope is configured to allow the permeate to exit from a fourth, open edge attached to the central tube; and a respective feed-spacer sheet in planar contact with an outer membrane surface of a respective filtration envelope; wherein the respective feed-spacer sheet is in the form of net having nodes connected by flexible segments such that the net forms a regular planar net.
Vented ring and method
A vented or decorative finger ring and its method of manufacture that employs a co-injection mold casting of the vented or decorative finger ring that is formed with joined outer and inner rings where the inner ring includes a plurality of interconnected lateral and longitudinal slots or grooves, where the lateral slots or grooves are space apart and extend from the inner ring edges that each connect to a series of linked longitudinal slots or grooves formed around the inner ring that extend to the inner surface of the outer ring, forming air flow paths across the inner ring, between the inner ring edges.
