A circumferential distance between the resin reservoir and the weld is smaller than a circumferential distance between the resin reservoir and the resin injection gate. A cross-sectional area of a communicating part of the resin reservoir, which is configured to communicate with the pillar part, is equal to or less than a quarter of a cross-sectional area of the resin injection gate.

IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO INJECTION SYSTEMS
A resin detection system for closing an automated valve to prevent resin entering a vacuum line portion of an outlet line is described. The resin detection system comprises a support (300) to a pneumatically-actuated device (320), a capacitive sensor (380) and a valve (410) are mounted. The sensor is configured to provide at least one signal indicative of the presence of resin in the outlet line which is used to close the valve automatically once the presence of resin is sensed by the capacitive sensor. The resin detection system forms part of an injection moulding apparatus and receives signals from a processor thereof to ensure that, if too much resin is injected, the valve is automatically closed even in the event that the sensor does not detect the presence of resin in the outlet line.
INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS AND INJECTION MOLDING METHOD
An injection molding apparatus including a mold, an injection device and at least one sensor is provided. The mold has a mold cavity. The injection device is adapted to inject a material into the mold cavity such that the material is formed into a forming article. The at least one sensor is disposed on the mold and adapted to sense at least one of a temperature and a pressure in the mold cavity. The at least one sensor is located at an inner surface of the mold cavity and corresponds to a non-appearance surface of the forming article. In addition, an injection molding method is also provided.

The invention relates to a mold (200) for producing a foam cladding (120) made of plastic on a planar component (100) or for producing a foamed plastic part (120), comprising a mixing head (300) for producing liquid plastic from at least two components, at least one first cavity (240) for receiving the plastic in order to form the foam cladding (120) or to produce the foamed plastic part (120), a sprue channel (210) for connecting the mixing head (300) to the at least one first cavity (240), and a further cavity (220), which is formed at the transition of the sprue channel (210) to the first cavity (240) and widens the sprue channel (210). For automated cutting of a tag-like sprue, which would otherwise adhere to the foam cladding, the invention provides that a sprue cutter (400) having at least one slide (410) is movably mounted on the mold (200), which slide can be moved by means of at least one actuating cylinder (450) in the direction of the sprue channel (210) toward the first cavity (240) and, in an end position of the movement of the slide, closes off the first cavity (240) from the sprue channel (210) and/or from the further cavity (220) by means of at least one edge (414) and/or contour (412).

A method of over-molding a thermoplastic elastomer over fabric includes: precision forming a mold cavity to match the final dimensions of a finished product; cutting a piece of fabric to a correct size; fixedly securing the fabric piece in the mold cavity; and injecting a thermoplastic elastomer into the mold cavity at an appropriate temperature and pressure, on top of the fabric piece. The method may further include heating the thermoplastic elastomer to a temperature for melting a surface layer of the fabric when injected thereon, and cooling of the thermoplastic elastomer and fabric for bonding of the thermoplastic elastomer to the surface of the fabric. The method may further include adding one or more additives from the group of additives consisting of: a UV stabilizer, an anti-blocking agent, a slip agents, a plasticizer, and a flame retardant; and securing a cord member onto an exposed portion of the fabric.
