An actuating device for adjusting at least one valve needle of an injection molding apparatus with a hot runner manifold that has disposed thereon at least one hot runner nozzle with at least one valve needle extending there-through which may control the melt flow through the hot runner nozzle. The actuating device has a support plate that is connected to the at least one valve needle and movable in a first direction relative to the hot runner manifold. The actuating device further includes a reciprocating device for moving the support plate in the first direction relative to the hot runner manifold, wherein the reciprocating device includes a slider mechanism and an actuation drive that is connected to a trigger device for generating a linear motion, wherein the slider mechanism has at least one thrust rod that is disposed in a second direction at an angle relative to the first direction.

MOLD DEVICE

In a mold device, a side portion of a second mold forming a second cavity portion is deformed outward in a second direction by injection pressure during injection molding, and an insert is displaced along with the deformation of the side portion. A drive portion moves the insert in a drive direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction so as to be able to advance and retract between a molding position at which the molded article can be molded and a retracted position at which the molded article can be released. The insert is swingably attached to the drive portion.

A molded fluid coupler defines a continuous external surface and an internal bore extending from a proximal end to a distal end. The molded fluid coupler has an external conduit barb positioned adjacent the proximal end, and a piston positioned adjacent the distal end. The molded fluid coupler also has a proximal rib positioned distally of the conduit barb and a distal rib distally spaced from the proximal rib to define an annular gap positioned between the proximal rib and the distal rib. The piston extends distally of the distal rib and defines an external sealing surface lacking a parting line. In some embodiments, an external surface extending between the proximal end and the barb lacks a parting line.
