MACERATOR
An animal slurry macerator (1) comprising a housing (2), a slurry chamber (3) in the housing (2) for receiving slurry from a slurry inlet (6) on the housing (2), a rotatable cutting plunger (4) in the slurry chamber (3) for macerating slurry, and a plurality of slurry outlets (7) on the housing (2) for discharging macerated slurry from the slurry chamber (3) wherein the slurry outlets (7) are provided with air-valves (8) at the housing (2) to facilitate air flow through the slurry outlet (7).
FOLDING INJECTOR BOOM FOR LIQUID MANURE SPREADER
A liquid manure spreader includes a spreader vehicle, a transversely extending injector boom having at least one outer boom section pivotable between a transversely-oriented position and a vertically-oriented position, at least one first actuatable linkage assembly for translating the boom vertically between a lowered working position and a raised position, and at least one second actuatable linkage assembly for arcuately pivoting the boom about an axis parallel to the transverse axis between a highest vertical height position and a lower transport position when the boom is in the raised position and the at least one outer boom section is in the vertically-oriented position.
HYBRID TILLAGE IMPLEMENT FOR VERTICAL TILLAGE AND AERATION OF SOIL WITH DEPOSIT OF SOIL ADDITIVE
An agricultural tillage implement has a vertical tillage section and an aerating section behind the vertical tillage section, each extending substantially perpendicular to the pull direction of the implement. Individual vertical tillage elements, such as disc blades, can be indexed with individual rotary tine assemblies of the aerator section so that discrete holes formed by the aerator section are positioned between substantially continuous slits formed by the vertical tillage section. A ground deposit system is provided for depositing a component on the ground and may be configured for conducting and depositing a granular component, such as seeds, fertilizers, minerals or the like, or liquid components, such as liquid manure.
APPARATUS FOR INJECTING MANURE INTO THE GROUND
An apparatus for injecting liquid manure into the ground in a manner to reduce the odors associated with the use of manure as a fertilizing agent includes a plurality of injector units mounted on a transvers beam. Each injector unit includes an opener disk to form a trench in the ground and a distribution pipe oriented to place liquid manure into the opened trench. Most injector units also include a containment disk that displaces soil on the ground from the formation of the trench by the adjacent injector unit. Each said opener disk being mounted on a machined spindle that enable the opener disk to be oriented in multiple slant angles. Each said distribution pipe terminating in an asymmetrically-shaped boot having a vertical side and a slanted side to define a narrowed discharge opening that directs liquid manure into the trench opened by the operation of the corresponding opener disk.
A ground deposit system deposits a component on the ground and may be configured for conducting and depositing a granular component, such as seeds, fertilizers, minerals or the like, or liquid components, such as liquid manure.
Method and apparatus for applying liquid nutrients between parallel rows of standing crops
Liquid nutrients are continuously applied to rows of standing crops by pulling a drag hose from a reel located at one end of a field and between two crop rows with a boom having a forward end pivotally connected to an applicator mounted on a tractor and a rearward end supported by a wheel. The boom carries a supply line having a rearward end connected to the drag hose and a forward end connector to the applicator having the same length as the boom. At the opposite end of the field, the tractor and applicator turn 180 while the boom passes over the applicator. The tractor returns down a second plurality of rows back to the first end of the field while the reel simultaneously retracts the hose between the two rows of crops. The reel is moved to a third plurality of rows the steps are repeated.
Systems for handling fluid for application to agricultural fields
A system for dispensing a volatile fluid includes a container defining an interior space for holding the fluid. The container is configured to separate the fluid into a liquid and a vapor such that at least a portion of the vapor is disposed above the liquid. The system also includes a fluid inlet, a liquid outlet, a vapor valve, a sensor, and a controller. The liquid outlet is disposed above the fluid inlet and below a liquid reference plane defined through the container. The vapor valve is configured to exhaust vapor disposed above the liquid from the container. The sensor is configured to detect a level of the liquid in the container. The controller is configured to determine the level of the liquid and actuate the vapor valve to maintain the level of the liquid at or above the liquid reference plane.
Dampening system for a manure injection system
A swivel bar is operatively connected by a bracket assembly to a toolbar, such that the swivel bar pivots back and forth in the horizontal plane about a pivot. A resilient device is positioned inside the swivel bar where the pivot is combined to the bracket assembly and extends through the swivel bar. At least one agricultural implement and preferably two agricultural implements are connected to the swivel bar on opposite sides of the pivot.
