Methods and systems for generating a plasma-activated liquid or gas, and applying the plasma-activated liquid for agricultural use. A system embodiment includes a hand-held device that can be pointed and directed at different target areas of a plant. A method embodiment includes generating a plasma discharge in a gas environment or a liquid environment, and applying the gas/liquid to a plant.
LIQUID PLACEMENT APPARATUS
An apparatus and method of applying liquid product to a crop growing in a field. A plurality of drop assemblies are laterally spaced along the boom structure, each of the plurality of drop assemblies include a boom mounting bracket which supports a vertical support member and a spray assembly disposed at a lower end of the vertical support member, the boom mounting bracket having a first pivot axis oriented substantially perpendicular to the boom structure. The drop assemblies are movable from a working position to a transport position. In the transport position the vertical support member is pivoted about the first axis such that the vertical support member is oriented toward the boom structure. In the working position the vertical support is oriented substantially perpendicular to the boom structure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN AGRICULTURAL APPLICATOR
An agricultural system can include a first nozzle assembly positioned along a boom assembly and configured to selectively dispense an agricultural product therefrom. An airflow detection system can be configured to capture data indicative of one or more airflow sources. A computing system can be communicatively coupled to the first nozzle assembly and the airflow detection system. The computing system can be configured to receive, from the airflow detection system, the data associated with the one or more airflow sources and generate a first nozzle vector for the first nozzle assembly based at least in part on the data from the airflow detection system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING LIQUID NUTRIENTS BETWEEN PARALLEL ROWS OF STANDING CROPS
Liquid nutrients are continuously applied to a first group of rows of standing crops by pulling a drag hose from a reel located at one end of a field and between two crop rows with a boom having one end pivotally connected to an applicator and a tractor. The boom provides a liquid supply line from the drag hose to the center or one end of the applicator. At the opposite end of the field, the tractor and applicator turn 180° while the boom pivots to project from one end of the applicator to the drag hose. The tractor returns down adjacent rows back to the first end of the field with the boom projecting to the drag hose while the reel simultaneously retracts the hose between the two crop rows. The reel is moved axially to a third group of rows, and the steps are repeated.
NOZZLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system for controlling nozzle flow rate includes a master node having an expected overall flow rate module configured to generate an expected overall flow rate of an agricultural product based on one or more sprayer characteristics, and an adjustment module configured to generate an error correction based on a difference between the expected overall flow rate and an actual overall flow rate of the agricultural product. A plurality of smart nozzles are in communication with the master node, each of the smart nozzles includes an electronic control unit in communication with one or more control valves and one or more nozzle assemblies. Each of the smart nozzles includes a target smart nozzle flow rate module configured to generate a target smart nozzle flow rate of the agricultural product based on the one or more sprayer characteristics. The target smart nozzle flow rate is adjusted according to the error correction.
Device for applying liquid and/or solid active substances and method for controlling a device of this type
A device for spreading liquid and/or solid active agents comprises a carrier vehicle, at least one pivotable boom, and sensors for detecting an angular velocity and/or an angular position of the boom. A control unit processes output signals of the sensors to control signals for an actuator to adjust the boom. The actuator produces an actuating connection between the carrier vehicle and the pivotable boom, and has one active pressure side, which is engageable by fluidic actuating pressure, for each of the two adjustment directions of the boom. An approximately equal pressure prevails on the active pressure sides of two actuators operating in opposition or of a double-acting actuator, respectively, when the boom is stationary or moves only slightly in relation to the carrier vehicle. A defined differential pressure is adjustable between the active pressure sides of the two actuators or of a double-acting actuator, when the boom is shifted.

An arrangement for triggering an actuator for adjusting an adjustable element of an agricultural working machine comprises: a specifying device for generating adjustment commands for the adjustable element; a control arrangement for the actuator; and a signal-shaping unit which, upon receipt of an adjustment command, initially applies a first signal dependent on the adjustment command to the control arrangement, and then applies a second signal, which is dependent on the adjustment command and delayed in time relative to the first signal, the second signal leading to a reduction or cancellation of a natural oscillation generated by the first signal in the system consisting of working machine and element.
IMPLEMENTS AND APPLICATION UNITS FOR PLACEMENT OF APPLICATIONS WITH RESPECT TO AGRICULTURAL PLANTS OF AGRICULTURAL FIELDS
Described herein are implements and application units for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, an application unit includes a frame to be positioned in operation between two rows of plants and a plurality of flexible members coupled to the frame in operation such that the plurality of flexible members guide a lateral position of the frame to be approximately equidistant from the two rows of plants based upon whether at least one flexible member of the plurality of flexible members contacts one or more plants of the two rows of plants. The plurality of flexible members include a plurality of fluid outlets for spraying crop input in close proximity to the rows of plants.
Nozzle, Valve, and Manifold Assembly for Precision Application of Crop Protectant
A treatment system for spraying treatment fluid onto plants in a field is described. The treatment system includes a highly configurable treatment mechanism including an array of nozzles and valve assemblies coupled into manifolds, and manifold assemblies. The manifolds of the manifold assemblies can be oriented in an open state or a nested state, the open state with no overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds and the nested state with overlap between nozzles of adjacent manifolds. The manifolds can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tube manifold and an offset manifold. The nozzles of the system can have multiple configurations, examples of which include a tri-spray nozzle, a bar nozzle, a fan nozzle, and a deflected fan nozzle. The system can be controlled by a system controller which detects plant material and instructs a nozzle or combination of nozzles to spray treatment fluid.
