A system for providing fluid for an animal includes: a generally oval trough to contain fluid, wherein the vertical inner sides of the trough slope inwardly from the upper rim of the trough to the bottom of the trough at an angle that varies around the circumference of the oval, there is an opening in the bottom of the trough in fluid communication with a dip tube that extends into a partially flexible fluid reservoir, and a means of attachment on the underside of the trough by which the fluid reservoir is sealably attached so that when pressure is applied to the reservoir, fluid will flow upward through the dip tube and fill the trough, and when the pressure is released, any remaining fluid will return to the reservoir.

Pressure regulator

A pressure regulator for controlling flow of a fluid therethrough is provided. An upper housing member and a primary diaphragm define an upper chamber and a lower housing member and the primary diaphragm define a lower chamber. The pressure regulator further includes: a valve assembly provided within the upper chamber for controlling the flow of the fluid from an inlet body into the upper chamber; a secondary diaphragm provided within the lower chamber and defining a secondary diaphragm driving chamber; and a passageway connecting the inlet body and the secondary diaphragm driving chamber. During operation, the secondary diaphragm driving chamber is filled with the fluid at the inlet pressure, thereby subjecting the secondary diaphragm to the inlet pressure and generating the force for actuating the valve's disengagement from the inlet body. The pressure regulator functions to maintain the outlet pressure at a value that is a predetermined fraction of the inlet pressure.

LEASH ATTACHMENT

A leash attachment and method for using the leash attachment are provided. The leash attachment has a built-in flip open cup that allows an animal to drink from the flip open cup once liquid is expelled to the distal end of the cup via a nozzle. Unused liquid from the flip open cup drains back via a funnel into the leash attachment by way of a fill hole. The leash attachment attaches to a leash via a rolling cam with ridges on the cam's outer surface.

Each opening can be fitted with a plug that may also feature a shelf, wall and/or a drinking or watering valve. The housing of the device is shaped such that a portion of it covers the opening(s) in the housing through which feed and water can be obtained by animals. The housing can feature a drip edge. Optional plugs fit into the openings and can feature watering valves that can be manipulated by animals to dispense water. The interior cavity of the housing can be fitted with a funnel to direct the feed toward the center of the interior cavity. The floor of the housing can be cone shaped to help direct feed passing through the funnel towards each opening.
