Temperature-regulated liquid container
A temperature regulation system including a first body forming a first interior cavity and a second body forming a second interior cavity. The first body includes a first opening defined in a wall of the first body. The first interior cavity is in fluidic communication with the first opening and the first interior cavity is configured to contain a liquid. The second body includes a second opening defined within a wall of the second body. A first temperature control module can be disposed within the second body and can include a fan. The first temperature control module is in fluidic communication of a fluid comprising air with the first interior cavity via the first and second openings. The fan is configured to direct a flow of air from the second interior cavity to the first interior cavity at a location adjacent the liquid.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING PREGNANCY TOXAEMIA
A system for automatically determining pregnancy toxaemia in at least one animal in a group of animals comprises a sensor for obtaining at least one value representative of a liquid or water uptake of the at least one animal, said sensor being adapted to be positioned in the vicinity of a liquid or water supply station or on the at least one animal; and a processing unit configured for comparing the obtained at least one value representative of a liquid or water uptake of the at least one animal to a mean value representative of an average of the at least one value for the group of animals or to a value deduced therefrom; and for generating a signal and/or alert when the obtained at least one value representative of a liquid or water uptake exceeds the mean value or the value deduced therefrom by a pre-determined threshold value.

Interchangeable flow directing orifice inserts and recirculating pet fountain with flow directing orifice inserts
A recirculating pet fountain having a cover mounted on a basin in a manner that removably seats the cover on the basin. An inclined spillway of the cover has an intake-defining edge below water in the basin producing a spillway that also is a debris and detritus blocking barrier. The fountain includes at least one removable orifice insert having a mounting stem received in an opening in the cover and a head from which water exits. Interchangeable inserts can be provided with one insert directing a water stream out a nozzle onto the spillway or into water in a bowl disposed below the insert that can be a drinking well. Another insert can be a flow dividing insert splitting flow into a plurality of streams.

Pivotal cover assembly for a poultry drinker
A pivotal cover assembly for a poultry drinker includes a sleeve that fits over the top of a drinker. Connected to the sleeve and extending upwardly from the drinker is a primary support. Pivotally connected to the primary support, in spaced relation to the drinker, is a cover member.

Apparatus and method for using a toilet as a water supply for pets
An automatically refreshed water supply for pets is provided by diverting the water from the water supply of a toilet to a water dispenser accessible to the pet and returning excess water to the toilet. The water is diverted from the flush cycle of a toilet to an exterior dish which fills to a predetermined level and then overflows over the edge of the dish and then by way of channels into the toilet, retaining the water after the flush cycle is completed. Alternatively a mechanism can be provided for triggering the replacement water flow by sensing of the motion or weight of the pet. The system can be pet-triggered for the toilet flush and/or flow of replacement water to the pet dish, or continuous water flow as long as the pet is detected.
