POLYMERIC MULTILAYER FILM
Polymeric multilayer film comprising at least two adjacent layers each exhibiting a random network of strands and connective regions. The polymeric multilayer films are useful, for example, for tape and graphic articles.
Polyamide 6 resins containing a low level of polyamide 66 comonomer
Compositions of polyamide resins containing a low level of polyamide 66 comonomer are provided, which are useful in producing blown films. A method of forming a blown film includes: extruding a polyamide copolymer to form a polyamide film. The polyamide copolymer is formed from a mixture of caprolactam and hexamethylenediamine adipate where the caprolactam comprises from 85 mol. % to 99 mol. % of the total moles of caprolactam and hexamethylenediamine adipate.
COEXTRUDED POLYMER FILM CONFIGURED FOR SUCCESSIVE IRREVERSIBLE DELAMINATION
Multilayered polymer films are configured so that successive constituent layer packets can be delaminated in continuous sheet form from the remaining film. The new films are compatible with known coextrusion manufacturing techniques, and can also be made without the use of adhesive layers between layer packets that are tailored to be individually peelable from the remainder of the film. Instead, combinations of polymer compositions are used to allow non-adhesive polymer layers to be combined in such a way that delamination of the film is likely to occur along a plurality of delamination surfaces corresponding to interfaces between particular pairs of layers for which the peel strength is reduced relative to the peel strength at other layer interfaces within the film. The absence of an adhesive between peelable layer packets results in the delamination being irreversible.
Extrudable Oriented Polymer Composites
A novel tubular or profile shapes of co-extruded multilayer polymers. These materials contain tens to thousands of layers of milli-, micro- to nano- polymer layers. These new shapes contain contiguous layers of milli- to nano- polymer layers in three dimensions and these contiguous layers may be twisted or turned to further expand the potential microlayer geometries.
SEALING MODULE FOR CABLES OR PIPES AS WELL AS METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING THE SAME
It is disclosed a method for the production of a sealing module (1) for a pipe or a cable, the sealing module having a hollow body (10) and a plurality of inner layers (11a-11h) superimposed one to the other provided within said body (10), the layers (11a-11h) being removable one from the other to define the size of the cross-section of a housing (14) extending between two opposite surfaces (S1, S2) of the sealing module to house cables or pipes of different sizes, wherein said plurality of layers (11a-11h) are made of a thermoplastic material, or both said body (10) and said plurality of layers (11a-11h) are made of a thermoplastic material. It is also disclosed an apparatus for the production of a sealing module, and a sealing module made of thermoplastic material.
Method for producing a container from thermoplastic material and plastic container produced according to said method
The invention relates to a method for producing a tank from thermoplastic material, comprising the following method steps: extruding or providing a hose-like parison composed of plasticized thermoplastic material, and dividing and spreading the parison into two areal extrudate webs, or extruding or providing two parisons in web form, laying-in and molding the parisons in recesses of a multi-part blow-molding tool using differential pressure, wherein the recesses of the blow-molding tool delimit a mold cavity, punching out, or cutting out in a circular shape, at least one opening in at least one shell-like intermediate product, wherein the opening is produced by way of a punching or cutting tool which penetrates through a wall of one of the shell-like intermediate products, wherein in a second separate method step, a first attachment element of a line connection or of a line arrangement is welded, at the mold cavity side, to the wall of the shell-like intermediate product, in such a way that an encircling weld collar of the first attachment element sealingly surrounds the opening, joining the shell-like intermediate products to form a tank, and removing the tank from the blow-molding tool, and connecting a second attachment element, which is complementary to the first attachment element in the context of a plug-type connection, to the first attachment element, wherein the plug-type connection is produced within the contour of the tank as defined by the tank wall.

Method of tubular microlayer and multi-component co-extrusion via deflector perturbation
The present invention relates to a method of transforming multilayered and/or multi-component streams into tubular shapes prior to or during extrusion by passing the streams over a deflector. The invention also relates to dies containing spiral, bowtie, circumferential and/or wrapping deflectors and products made by such methods.
