METHOD OF MAKING AN INTEGRAL GEOGRID FROM A COEXTRUDED MULTILAYERED POLYMER STARTING MATERIAL
An integral geogrid includes a plurality of interconnected, oriented strands having an array of openings therein that is produced from a coextruded multilayer polymer sheet starting material. By virtue of the construction, the coextruded multilayer sheet components provide a crystalline synergistic effect during extrusion and orientation of the integral geogrid, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the integral geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement.
MULTILAYER POLYMER DIELECTRIC FILM
A multilayer polymer dielectric film includes a stack of coextruded, alternating first dielectric layers and second dielectric layers that receive electrical charge. The first dielectric layers include a first polymer material and the second dielectric layers include a second polymer material different from the first polymer material. The first polymer material has a permittivity greater than the second polymer material. The second polymer material has a breakdown strength greater than the first polymer material. Adjoining first dielectric layers and second dielectric layers define an interface between the layers that delocalizes electrical charge build-up in the layers. The stack has substantially the crystallographic symmetry before and during receiving electrical charge.
BACKING FOR ADHESIVE TAPE WITH THERMAL RESISTANCE
Backing films for adhesive tapes are presented, as well as adhesive tapes comprising such backing films, which may include tapes used in construction such as seam sealing tapes, roofing tapes, and flashing tapes. The backing film comprises a core layer, a first skin layer, and optionally a second skin layer, where the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of less than 90 ppm/ C. measured in at least one direction within the plane of the film, and, in some embodiments, a Young's modulus of less than 550 MPa as measured in at least one direction. In some embodiments, the backing film has a coefficient of thermal expansion of not more than 91.8 ppm/ C. and a Young's modulus of not more than 540 MPa as measured in any direction within the plane of the film. In some embodiments, the core layer comprises a polyolefin, and skin layers comprise a thermoplastic elastomer.
Multilayered structures and uses thereof in security markings
A security marking has a physically unclonable function (PUF) wherein the PUF includes a disordered multilayer photonic crystal structure having an electromagnetic transmission and/or reflection spectrum and/or spectra upon receipt of electromagnetic radiation within a photonic bandgap region of the structure that is unique to the structure.
FILMS AND SHEETS HAVING MICROLAYERS AND NANOLAYERS INCLUDING RECYCLED CONTENT
A polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is formed as a multilayered structure having at least one A layer and at least one B layer. The polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is able to include at least 30% recycled content resin while also exhibiting improved stiffness and strength relative to films with purely virgin polymers. One embodiment of the present invention further presents improved oxygen barrier properties relative to existing films, sheets, or extrusion coatings. Due to the strong structural properties, the polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating allows for the inclusion of recycled content into applications where recycled content has previously not been able to be included, such as flexible food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics packaging.
GEOGRID MADE FROM A COEXTRUDED MULTILAYERED POLYMER

By virtue of the construction, the coextruded multilayer sheet components provide a crystalline synergistic effect during extrusion and orientation of the integral geogrid, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the integral geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement.
ANTIFOG POLYESTER LIDDING FILM FOR CPET TRAYS
The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
PACKAGING FILM HAVING OXYGEN BARRIER
A non-shrink, irradiated packaging film includes first, second, third, and fourth layers of polyamide (PA); a first polyethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) layer between the first and second PA layers; a second EVOH layer between the third and fourth PA layers; a mid-layer between the second and third PA layers; and first and second polyethylene (PE) layers. The first, second, third, and fourth PA layers, the first and second EVOH layers, and the mid-layer are between the first and second PE layers. The mid-layer may be formed from a polymer.
MULTILAYER ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING
Embodiments of multilayer articles and methods of producing multilayer articles are disclosed. The multilayer articles include a stack (A-B).sub.n of n layer units A-B, where n is greater than or equal to 64, each layer unit A-B comprising a first nanolayer A and a second nanolayer B overlying the first nanolayer A. The first nanolayer A of the layer units comprises a heterogeneous blend. The second nanolayer B of the layer units comprising a homogeneous material.
Method for interdigitated finger coextrusion
A method for depositing a structure comprising interdigitated materials includes merging flows of at least two materials in a first direction into a first combined flow, dividing the first combined flow in a second direction to produce at least two separate flows, wherein the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction, and merging the two separate flows into a second combined flow.
