SPINNERET ASSEMBLY FOR SPINNING POLYMERIC FIBERS
A spinneret assembly for spinning polymeric fibers, including: (a) a cap provided with an inlet port and a flared lower surface that flares outwardly from the inlet port in the direction of flow; (b) a spinneret having numerous spinning flow channels through its thickness; (c) a filter freely resting on the spinneret; and (d) a flow guide with a tapered geometry mounted in a cavity defined by the cap and the spinneret. The flow guide has an apex facing the inlet port, a base facing the filter, and one or more side surfaces tapering up to the apex. A diverging flow passage is defined by the tapering side surface(s) of the flow guide and the cap's flared lower surface. The base of the flow guide is spaced apart from an upper surface of the spinneret, creating a space that is in fluid communication with the divergent flow passage.
Method for manufacturing a tyre blank by means of a ply comprising two rubbers
A method for manufacturing a raw blank of a tyre includes using a calender to produce a ply. The calender includes two rollers with a gap situated therebetween. A ply that includes a first rubber material is formed in the gap of the calender, with a bead of the first rubber material being formed upstream of the gap. The bead and the gap of the calender are fed with a second rubber material, different from the first rubber material, to form at least one insert in the ply.
Device and method for scaling and coating of continuous multi-material stripes and patterns
A hybrid scaling and patterning apparatus for producing thin films with multi-material, customized patterns is disclosed. The apparatus includes a slot die body integrated with multiple inlets and corresponding converging channels passing materials through the die body in a planar, continuous laminar flow. The hybrid scaling and patterning apparatus may be used in a method of preparing multi-material, patterned thin film materials.

WATER ABSORPTION TREATMENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided is a water absorption treatment material and a method for manufacturing the same, according to which a clump can be formed after use without incurring a decrease in water absorptivity. A water absorption treatment material includes a granular core portion and an embedded portion. A recessed portion is formed on the surface of the granular core portion. The embedded portion is provided in the recessed portion of the granular core portion. The embedded portion contains an adhesive material.
MACROMOLECULAR BLOCK COPOLYMER FORMATION
A process of forming a macromolecular block copolymer includes forming a first high molecular weight polymer using a first extruder of an extruder system that includes multiple extruders. The first extruded high molecular weight polymer has a first length terminating at a joiner of the extruder system and has a first set of material properties along the first length. The process also includes forming a second high molecular weight polymer using a second extruder of the extruder system. The second extruded high molecular weight polymer has a second length terminating at the joiner of the extruder system and has a second set of material properties along the second length. The process further includes bonding the first extruded high molecular weight polymer to the second extruded high molecular weight polymer to form a macromolecular block copolymer having a first segment of the first length and a second segment of the second length.
Floor panel
A floor panel may include a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A top layer may be provided on the substrate. The top layer may consist of a printed thermoplastic film and a thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer provided on the printed thermoplastic film. The top layer may be directly applied to the substrate using a glue layer available between the printed thermoplastic film and the top side of the substrate. The substrate may be an extruded synthetic material board including a filler selected from the group consisting of chalk, wood and sand. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the extruded synthetic material board. The floor panel may have a thickness of 5 to 10 millimeters.
CABLE JACKETS HAVING DESIGNED MICROSTRUCTURES AND METHODS FOR MAKING CABLE JACKETS HAVING DESIGNED MICROSTRUCTURES
Optical fiber cables (1001) comprising at least one optical fiber transmission medium (1006) and at least one elongated polymeric protective component (1002) surrounding at least a portion of the optical fiber transmission medium. The elongated polymeric protective component (1002) comprises a polymeric matrix material and a plurality of microcapillaries containing a polymeric microcapillary material, where the polymeric matrix material has a higher flexural modulus than the polymeric microcapillary material. Also disclosed are dies and methods for making such optical fiber cables and protective components.
